Original Rainbow Donuts Cafe

Stopped here this morning for the first time to get donuts for the office. What a lovely lady working the counter, so friendly and personable. Donuts were deeeeeelicious too! Glad I checked it out and I will def be back. Honestly I stopped at another popular donut shop a bit west of this first, walked in and the woman there didn't say a word and gave me a rather rude look, walked out and went to Rainbow. Glad I did!!

Donuts looked fantastic. Everything was picture perfect, orderly and neat. The lady behind the counter was so nice. I was excited for my donut.The flavor though, not so great. Even though it was morning, the donuts were rather stale. Chewy. Very disappointing.

LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this place. This is an old-school location with wonderful folks working the shop. Connie and her husband put love into every single item. From the vast selection of donuts to the great coffee, everything is top-notch. The donuts are light, fluffy, and absolutely HEAVEN. My favorite donut happens to be the maple long John and their rendition was p-e-r-f-e-c-t-l-y delicious, which complimented my coffee. So happy! :)

Came in, probably too early, no cinnamon rolls out but I did pick up a lovely & fresh maple long John. So light & fluffy. Also picked up a cronut & crumb. The crumb was cakier & denser than I care for but the flavor was good. Cronut was good but jury is still out how I feel about density. Owner was super nice & apologized for not having everything out but explained it's because it's summer & most people aren't rushing around first thing in the AM & trying to get kids to school. I can understand & respect that. It does remind me though that as a single woman with no kids that I am lower on the customer service scale though since I don't have those same accommodations. I am sure that wasn't the intent or thought process so much as, "phew, my kids aren't in school, I can relax a little." I'll have to come back at a later time and try the cinnamon rolls.

Loved trying this place. Very very delicious. Made correctly and it really makes us happy. We talk about this place a lot and every morning I wish I could go get another half dozen because it's soooo good. Closed Monday and Tuesdays. Xx

Donuts are fresh and soft. Lots of pilling on filled items. It is a small family owned business but worth the trip

A great selection of delicious donuts and GREAT coffee set in an old school atmosphere.Miss Connie and her husband own and operate Rainbow and care about every single item. The service is exceptional as Connie tends to know her customers by name.Rainbow will exceed your expectations.

Goodness!!! Make the drive, it's worth it, for the Cronut alone!! I'm feel like I should end the review here, because it's really enough said...okay! Flaky tender pastry stuffed with sweet strawberry filling with real strawberries, covered in two different sticky sweet glazes! Yes...it's sweet and worthy of either the COLDEST MILK or the HOTTEST COFFEE! Oooh yes they have other donuts; cake, yeast, sour cream...blueberry filled, custard filled..on s covered in Cereal, rich chocolate, powder sugar, also a great standard Glazed donut. But, the star is the Cronut!!

Best donuts I have had in decades!, get there early as they sell out super quick. I am going back for sure.
