I wish I could give a 3.5 rating. This is based on experiences ordering food at the counter and catering. When it comes to the restaurant, like the turo turo (point point) style. Lots of your typical Filipino fare. You need to time it right though because they can run out of stuff or it isn't as fresh. Their prices, like everywhere else, have gone up quite a bit. One of the advantages they have is being the only Filipino restaurant in the area. The people working are nice and easily describe the dishes that I'm not as familiar with when I see them. Plenty of seating if you want to eat inside the restaurant. As for catering, I've done many orders here over the years. If you can get them to answer the phone, then great. If not, you'll need to go in to the store. I wasn't as impressed last time I got a lumpia tray. The lumpia were super oily and didn't have much flavor in the filling. The adobo we ordered was a hit with our guests though. You can't really go wrong with adobo.

I've been buying food from Orient Valley for almost 30 years and they consistently make delicious food and outstanding Shanghai lumpia. Ted and his team are friendly. I highly recommend!

The Shanghai lumpia here is pretty spot on. Love being able to come here and get 100 last minute. I wish the prices were a little bit lower for the total amount that you get.

Good food if you're in the area. One of their specialties is the dinakdakan , that's pork in a creamy sauce. One of my choice filipino fastfood places in san diego.

IGNORE all the low stars! Filipina foodie here and I'll give you the real breakdown! Like every Filipino Fastfood it will have tons of hiccups.I gave it a 5 star because they stew correctly! Are the flavors perfect, NO. But it was a pleasant surprise that the Kare Kare was extremely tender!!!! So was the beef stew! Unbelievable on the nice fat and tender ratio on top of steam rice! Lechon was perfect! Not burnt or chewy. It was so crispy that even the fat was edible! Sig sig needs more ginger and crunch. Too much vinegar.Empetido was $7, however too vinegary too!Who ever is in charge of the vinegar, we need to tell Mr or Ms Maasim to please slow your roll... do WAY less. This may be why the adobo can be hit or miss!!! And the reputation of this place is not as good as it could be. All because of the Vinegar Obsession. LOL Cook out the vinegar so it's not too maasim. (Sour) or just hide it from the chef! Only put out what's needed, and place those Costco gallon jugs in a secret place.Overall customers will be satisfied to feed the fix! And Cassava cake is TENDER too! Flan-ish! 5 star!Lastly, they are constantly cleaning!!! Very rare in a Filipino restaurant. Usually everyone is so tired from cooking that the entire place is a little... you know... filthy. LOL!!!This place is CLEAN, you can bring a friend here without worrying that roaches will run across the floor!

We ordered catered food for our family reunion on July 1st. We needed more food because it was gone very quickly especially the lumpias! I knew I needed more but the owner said that order would be sufficient. Overall the food was delicious and I would use them again but be adamant about the quantity. We ordered lumpia, chicken adobo, pancit, and rice for 30 people (1/2 trays) should have had full trays.

My parents spotted this place one day and brought home some leftovers. My lunch the next day was comprised of the barbecue pork they hadn't finished, a pleasant surprise for me.We went there today so I could see what Filipino cuisine was like; It's all new to me. It all seems fresh and authentic (but I wouldn't know for sure of course) and they serve food Panda Express style, by 1,2, or 3 side platters of noodles or rice (or half and half!). The people serving are very generous with the portions so be prepared to to eat a lot, and the options all look delicious. I got the Longaniza, Lumpia, noodles and rice, and something else I don't remember the name of; all of it was delicious. What's cool about this place is that it's also a store with a selection of Southeastern Asian food and produce.Definitely coming back to explore the options a bit more because my first impression was great! My only criticism is the lack of information on the food items for newcomers like me. Small signs with basic descriptions on the glass would help. Also, sorry for the poor picture this time.

I've only ordered lumpia once here before so I was excited to try the breakfast. Per the website, it states it'll come with garlic rice, egg and choice of side/protein. After deciding what I would like to order, I called them from my work phone. It kept ringing until the line began beeping. I dialed again, no ring.. just beeping this time. Therefore, I called on my personal phone and it just beeped as if they unplugged the phone? So I decided to just order in person. I won't go into detail about the service in person because that's another story as I meant to write this review strictly based on the food. The only rice option they had was steamed rice so off the bat I was a little disappointed as it didn't match the website. I received 1 whole longanisa and 2 little half parts and lots of oil. Then to top it off, two cold eggs. I began to eat the food about 2-3 minutes after leaving. The longanisa and rice were borderline/basically room temperature.. the rice looked like it was cooked days ago and had just been sitting there when they put it on my plate. I'm usually all for family businesses but this was extremely disappointing. I couldn't even finish the small portion of longanisa they gave me due to the heavy oil it was in. I will not be going back for anything ever again.
