This is Cantonese run Japanese restaurant. The presentation of the sushi is very nice. However I find they charge an arm and leg for the portion size they give you. Ramen was okay. It was nice to try it but will not be back. They automatically prompt 25% service tip as one of the buttons to press to pay. I don't think a casual restaurant deserves a 25% tip.

Orenji... everyone is SO nice... food is DELICIOUS... Issaquah really lucked out with this place. Veggie gyoza - tastyVeggie Tan Tan Noodles - I think about it dailyEvergreen Roll - So good!Chicken Teriyaki - Literally best on the planet and I stand by this to the deathGets a little crazy at dinner but never too bad. Lots of families but also good for adult casual dinner.

Was looking for a fast dining option in Issaquah, and Orenji was mentioned as a place to go for some decently priced delicious food. We went on a Saturday around 6pm to check out this place out!Parking is convenient for this restaurant, as there is a parking lot just in the front shared between the many other vendors in the area. Service is fast, we were seated quickly as we went into the restaurant - there are also lots of take out orders too, we also got our food about 10 minutes after ordering. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, with Japanese style decorations lining the walls and a bar at the back of the restaurant.I ordered a variety of items, which I'll review down below:Dinner Set ($27): The dinner set comes with Chicken Teriyaki with rice, 3 pieces of salmon sashimi, and 2 pieces of tuna sashimi. The chicken was alright, thinly sliced with some teriyaki sauce drizzled over it. Though they do give you a good amount of rice underneath the chicken, which is probably where most of the filling parts of this meal are located. The sashimi tasted fine, the tuna and salmon slices are hearty and do serve as a good refreshing palate refreshing for the teriyaki chicken. I personally think this dinner set is alright, maybe slightly on the steeper side in terms of the quantity of enticing components.Tonkotsu Ramen ($15): A decent bowl of ramen for the location - the broth had good flavor and there is a decent amount of noodles and other components in the bowl. Though unfortunately not the most filling bowl, as I was able to finish this after enjoying the dinner set and not feel stuffed. It serves as a nice craving filler if you looking for ramen in the area.In the end, I spent about $43 for everything that you see here, which is on alright price given the quality and quantity of food. Based on the things that I ordered, I don't think there was anything that really blew my socks off in terms of flavor. But if you are looking to fill that craving of Japanese food in the Issaquah area, Orenji should hopefully consistently cover that.

This was a hidden gem. A friend and I went out for sushi and she took me here and I could not believe how busy it was but how great the sushi was. The customer service was amazing they were on top of it. It has a normal sushi restaurant field with a couple sushi bars and lots of tables, but they were so busy when we came in we had to sit at the sushi bar which was fine. our sushi came beautifully plated, and quickly. My only gripe about this place was there spicy mayo was not great. It seemed very watered down. It was priced well. My meal of 2 rolls, and a soda was $35 after tip. Will I be back? 1000%

Service 10 starsFood 10 starsAmbiance- the music was a bit loud to hear one another across the table and hope next time it's a little softer... we don't usually sit on the sushi bar side so maybe that was partly to blame. Our server was so sweet, funny, fantastic at checking on us and bringing water multiple times. Food was tasty as always and was served rather quickly considering how busy they were. They knew we were celebrating our anniversary so that sweet treats at the end plus the owner coming over for a fun chat was really nice. Really enjoy being a patron at Orenji!

If you're in Issaquah for some hiking, Orenji is a great option for some post-hike lunch! They have a huge selection of sushi rolls, ramen, rice bowls, appetizers, and drinks to choose from.We went with the 5 Alarms Ramen, their signature chicken and pork broth that has a spicy kick. The Orenji Dragon Roll was a delicious pick as well and the Salmon Maki and Hot Cali Roll made for some cheaper sushi roll options.

I came across this place after finishing a hike at twin lakes and headed back to downtown. I came here strictly for the reviews and let me tell you, it was worth every bite. Started off with the pork gyoza which were delicious, as my main course I tried the orenji sushi and the scallop hand roll so fresh and filling of flavor. My girlfriend tried the 5Alarms ramen and added egg and that is the dish you need to have if you need comfort food. We ended our meal with some mochi ice cream and our server was super sweet and decorated the plate for us.This is a wonderful place with delicious food and impeccable service. You can tell cleanliness and quality is top of mind for theme
