It's a beautiful place and takes you back good old days. The food was awesome! Chick kabab and Barg and koobideh was very good/ delicious.My friend had a fish plate and it looked great + even much better than a lot of places that I have seen in LAThe service was excellent too and gave us a lot of good ideas and played good music for us by our requests.Tea was the best ever that I have seen in any restaurant!!!!

I ordered kabab, khoreshteh bademjan, polo and mahicheh.Kabab was good but bademjan was just okey. Good service.

The meals at Orchid never disappoint. This place is close to the freeway so I have called in to go orders. After the first order of Khoresht Gheymeh Bademjan I knew I found a true Persian restaurant. I made this a once a week stop and have tried working my way through the stews. The flavors are authentic and food is so delicious. I work all over the state of California and this is one of the best Persian restaurants I have tried. The only other ones close have been in Los Angelos. You people that live in San Diego are so lucky to have this hidden gem. I have never had a meal at the restaurant so I can not comment on service.

Excellent Persian food, so juicy and perfectly cooked. The koobideh kebab was better than my grandmas.. not even kidding. So good! The torshi is delicious if you like picked veggies, it's the best way to start a meal.

Stopped here for lunch, as I was craving Persian food. Place has a unique vibe. They had Persian music playing on screen. They also have a piano but no one was playing at the time. Customer service was pretty good. I was greeted promptly and seated upon arrival. I ordered their beef and chicken combo with salad and masbati rice along with hot black Persian tea. Food was similar to other Persian restaurant. Beef was soft and tender as well as the chicken kabob. Salad was fresh with the fluffy masbati rice. It was a good huge meal and hence I had leftovers. Their meal was a little on the pricey side. It also came with flat bread with butter. Overall, a pretty good lunch meal.

Really enjoyed our meal. The chicken barg and koobideh were beautiful cooked. Service was great too. Will definitely be back

Went here for Persian new year, a.k.a. Nowruz, to help mend the distance from my family. Being a vegan, I was reluctant to go to a Persian restaurant. But boy was I proven wrong. They had so many options for us! We had delicious impossible koobideh kebab with rice, gheymeh on tahdig, dolmeh, salad shirazi and kashkeh bademjoon (without yogurt). So many options, all so delicious! And the service was top-notch. I wish I would've asked the owner's name; he was a delightful human being with absolute passion and love for his restaurant. I will be returning here, and I will definitely bring my family when they come and visit. Thanks for accommodating us underdog vegans and thank you for making my Nowruz special.

Great food! Always fresh and delicious! Mike and team are very welcoming and personable! The atmosphere is bright and refreshing! We love the options on the menu! Definitely a hidden gem that you must try! You'll be hooked!

I called in advance (12 minutes prior to arrival) so that my food would be ready. I was in a rush and on the go. I had a craving for Persian. This was a great detour! I ordered the barg filet mignon and the boneless chicken combo. The food was great! I started eating so fast I forgot to ask for lemon to squeeze on top. The place is nicely decorated and the subtitles to the music videos playing on the big screen inside made the experience great. As I don't speak Pharci but the song was great I was able to understand the singer. The only downside was it was really expensive my meal was 50 bucks without tip! I know filet isn't cheap but i asked for a combo plate. It is what it is and I would go back when in the area.

When i came here the first time the food blew my mind. Their koobideh is really delicious and juicy. Their service is perfect and the owner is pretty nice. They will do anything to fix your order and give you excellent customer service. Their ambiance is really pretty they got music in the background with nice pictures on the wall, a piano, beautiful plants and good lighting. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant trust me it will surprise you.
