While out and about on Saturday afternoon we decided to stop by west gate for some drinks and possible food. Our first stop was a dud and the music so loud our ears needed time to calm. We saw Opa Life and no wait so we decided to give it a try. We were greeted and seated right away. The noise level was great and a few TV's at the bar were playing sports. The menu is small, but had some great options. We weren't too hungry as we'd ate earlier in the day so we decided to share the chicken souvlaki skewer which comes with two sides. We chose the Greek salad and rice. We ordered some beer and water. Beer was cold and water refreshing. Our food came out quick and was plated phenomenally. From the first bite to the last it was all delicious. I'm so surprised at the lack of customers. It's bright and clean inside, service was good and we had no issues. The other patrons inside seemed happy as well. This was our first time here and of course I've not tried other menu items, but I felt portions were huge and enjoyed it. The servers I will say looked bored, one sitting chatting with someone not sure if customers or owner, others just grouped near the front. Hopefully it's not this slow everyday.

It's been a while since I've eaten at Opa and first time at this location. Menu is smaller. Service is good with a sport bar vibe. Had the gyro platter. Meat was good but a little on the dry side. Tzatziki had separated in its plastic container and the shoe string asparagus was grilled to a dried out texture. Their Greeks fries were excellent. Lots of choices in the area. Lots of choices in this area.

Ventured here with colleagues during a conference. The food was great and so was the cocktail I had. The restaurant wasn't crowded maybe due to the weather being over 100 degrees. I ordered the chicken skewer with veggies and rice. The rice was a little hard.

I had a great time here. The hummus was top notch, perfect amount of garlic and nice texture, the veggies and pita were also yummy. The owner served up flaming cheese to people throughout the evening and then loudly said "opa" which was fun to watch. The drinks were tasty. I came after an event with 15,000 people in the arena and they were slammed, but they handled their jobs with grace and calm. I was impressed. Wish I lived closer because I would love to go back.

I wanted to like Opa more than I did.Staying in the area and out for dinner on a Monday night, Greek won out over the other choices at Westgate. Opa offers up standards (pitas, gyro, souvlaki, moussaka, et al) in an airy cafe setting. I ordered a platter: protein + pita + tzatziki + two sides, opting for gyro with veggies and salad. The salad and pita were the highlights of the dish: the tangy vinaigrette lending a brightness to the salad while the pita was fresh and soft. Unfortunately, the vegetables (squash and zucchini with shredded parmesan) were limp and the gyro greasy and too salty. On the plus side? Service was excellent

I popped in here with a group of 6 on a busy Saturday night and got in pretty quickly. The staff were friendly though we didn't get a ton of service. I ordered water and the gyro plate. The food was good - nothing extraordinary. The Greek fries were pretty plain from other Greek restaurants I've been to. The kicker for me was price. Felt a bit steep for what I got. But I did walk away full. Overall a decent option but walked away feeling like "meh! I'd eat here again but not seek it out"

We stopped here as our 2nd stop of the night in Glendale on Saturday the 16th for our weekend trip to watch the 49ers/Cardinals game. This place has a super cool staff, and what I would call Greek bar food. We had a pizza with gyro on it, and was a cool idea. The drinks & food were reasonably priced, the location can't be beat, right on the corner of what starts countless bars/restaurants past the movie theater. We would 100% return here when we go back to Glendale someday.

Came here one evening while visiting the entertainment district. Not many customers so I would have thought the service would have been a little more attentive. Frequent waiting for server to take our orders, check on our drinks, etc. Ordered the flaming haloumi (fried cheese) appetizer. The bottom was completely burned and charcoal. Unfortunate as I was looking forward to it since having it at other Greek restaurants and in Greece. Also ordered the ouzo lemonade which was really good and refreshing. Given the haloumi and service, we left after finishing both.

Ambiance was nice on the patio, stopped in for a bite. Ordered the Moussaka with the Greek salad with crown royal on the rocks. Food was ok not the normal way that I have seen this prepared. Service was not the best especially when the closed the patio door on me after I paid my check. I still had a full drink and food on my plate. They were also not closing for another hour. I won't be back which is sad because it's in a very busy area.

Game day patrons watch out for the game day menu that has a 30% price increase for the same item that you'd get any other day, which is already incredibly expensive for what you get!The server we had was awesome, wasn't too impressed with the girl standing behind the bar holding her personal fan blowing in her face!
