Never had a blueberry bread loaf before and this was sooooo good! It was freshly baked and they make it on the day of sale!

Love this bakery and often drive to/from Shoreline to Marysville specifically for their danishes. Enjoyed countless danishes, fritters, and assortment of doughnuts in the past. However, have to knock off a star with this updated review.Bought danishes and doughnuts on Sat 7/31/21. We ate the raised doughnut, two cinnamon glazed twists, and cream cheese danish without issue. Tasted delicious as always. Refrigerated the remaining 5 fruit danishes on Sunday morning. However, next day /Monday morning there was evidence of growth on the fruit filled danishes. As a QC microbiologist, almost looked like petri dish colony counts one would see in the lab.I had to compost those fruit danishes, because of that suspect growth on the surfaces of all the danishes. Such a pity and a waste!Wasted effort from the baker.Waste of time, gas, money from my customer perspective.Pro tip: *Eat purchased baked goods fresh on same day. *Avoid the fruit filled danishes. *Stick with cream cheese danishes and doughnuts instead.(And no, I have not had their breads, cookies, and other featured baked goods)Enough said.

The pastry was good but not mind blowing. The biggest issue was the service. The bakery/owner/staff weren't friendly or welcoming by any means....ordered a few over priced items which would've been ok if they were nicer. There were tables and chairs so Im assuming it's for eating lol No public restroom so snacking here is not ideal....Asked if we could get a couple of our pastries wrapped to go and a couple for dine-in. They didn't offer any napkins/water/utensils/plates to cut the loaf or the foot long pastry. There was an uncomfortable silence seating there. Would we go back or recommend this bakery? Not for the price and ambiance. I always assume small businesses would have better service but some seem to have too much pride as if they're well known

If you go to any bakery in Marysville make it Oosterwyks! The pastries, donuts, and breads are made fresh. They were literally bringing out trays full of fresh loafs as we were ordering. This family owned business needs to stay open for centuries.

A few spots were open in the street parking by Oosterwyk's Dutch Bakery when I arrived around 10:02 a.m. on Wednesday 19 July 2023. Making my way to the bakery, the door was open, an open light on, and a woman greeted me when I walked in. A second woman, behind the counter, took my order. The offerings were already running low for the day and I went with a lemon blueberry muffin. I paid with cash, tipping the change and was on my way.The muffin was moist with fresh blueberries and a glaze atop the muffin. For a bakery muffin, I would say it way about a medium size. The bite(s) where I got a little bit of the glaze, the moist muffin, and a blueberry were perfection.

This morning my husband stopped in to get me some treats. He brought back a tray of cinnamon rolls and a blueberry pull-apart bread. I've just had the cinnamon roll and I have to say it may be the best one I've ever had. The dough is so tender, yet baked through. It's no wonder they don't need to overload it with icing to hide any imperfections - there ARE no imperfections. I can't wait to try the blueberry bread later on!

Some of the best donuts I've ever had. The rise alone on the plain glazed is so tall and they are light and fluffy with a slight slight crisp when you bite into the pillowy dough.

I found the donuts overpriced and dried out. If a bakery is going to charge $6 for one donut, it better be off the charts good and be different enough that no other business has one like it. I am amazed this bakery is in business.

The problem is not the food, and never has been. I understand it's not worth being open every day if you don't have the customers, but instead of adjusting your hours to lessen the potential of having customers, wouldn't it make more sense to figure out why they aren't coming in? You have a floor plan in this bakery which is perfect for a small eat-in coffee shop, so why aren't you doing that? If you can sell a cup of coffee AND a pastry to someone, plus have 4-6 people sit around a table and eat at a time, wouldn't it just increase your profits? Drip coffee costs nothing to make, and you could even stock some basic deli meats and condiments to make sandwiches from your wonderful bread. The food is really good here, so I think maybe the owner and staff are just overwhelmed and don't know what to do, or don't have anyone helping them with marketing. Don't let such a good small business get run into the ground - make a change!
