I typically get the same thing at restaurants, in the case of On Rice it's usually their Yellow Curry White Rice, which is amazing! However, this time I went for the Phad Se Ew with Shrimp. The tender shrimp, flavorful sauce, and perfectly cooked noodles with a side of white rice create a delightful combination. Highly recommend! The seating is cozy, and the soothing background music sets the perfect mood for a delightful dining experience. The attentive staff further elevate the atmosphere, making it a memorable place to enjoy a meal.

Poor quality, overpriced Thai food. Medium spicy had zero flavor--expected it to be medium, not zero. Requested egg be subbed for extra veggies and they refused. Either charge less or give me 1 egg's worth of extra vegetables. Tofu cooked well. Spring rolls tasty but $10 for 4 small rolls. Asked for utensils and delivery bag didn't have utensils, which made it complicated since we were staying in a hotel with no kitchen...Food was extremely salty. More so than normal Thai food.

I'd avoid this restaurant. They are so cheap they won't even fix it when they give you the wrong order. Rude, poor customer service. Messed up my order, didn't offer to remake it or give me a refund. So I'm stuck with something I did not order. Appararently all they can do is offer 50% off the next entree. This effectively means that I would have to give them more money to get the right order! That is unheard of - I have never experienced a restaurant not making it right when they straight up give you the wrong order. Dominique who took the order originally and answered when I called back was pretty rude, hung up on me and I had to call back, and didn't even try to apologize. She was full of attitude, snippy, and said verbatim, "well do you want the 50% off or not? That's all we can do".I ordered directly through them, not DoorDash or 3rd party, Saturday 3/4/23.

Great flavors in both dishes. On Rice is a staple and classic Thai restaurant in Bellingham.

I had stopped ordering from this place since my last review. Mediocre food, high prices. But it was convenient and easy to do today after a long day hike up the 542.If I could give lower I would. The servings even in today's inflationary period are unbelievably meager. This is what $19.95 of vegetables with a couple pieces of overcooked pork looks like. See attached. In addition, I ordered 3 of 4 stars on spice. There was no spice to the food. As in ZERO. I think if I'd ordered 4 of 4 it would be the same.$41 for mediocre food which took them an hour to make from my initial order online.

So we used to love this place especially the chicken drunken noodles. Until today when we found a steel wing nut in it. How gross must a kitchen be before you notice hardware in your takeout. Never again so gross..

We were visiting Bellingham on business and planned to go for Thai food as my wife wanted Tod Mun and Kaow Soi. We had searched several Bellingham restaurants' menus and reviews and made a pick. After our work the restaurant On Rice was recommended to us by a business associate as a better choice as it was less expensive and more convenient than our choice. It was not! There was no Kaow Soi or Tod Mun on the menu. The prices were fair but the food was not very good. We had fresh spring rolls, phad see ew, wonton soup, and Thai ice tea (Tha Yen). The spring rolls were ok with a good warm peanut sauce. The wonton soup had noodles that were not fully cooked and no spice. The phad see ew was poor. I asked for three chili spice and it was not spicy. Even the spice collection gave very little flavor. The noodles were mushy and I was surprised to see a scoop of rice with the noodles. The restaurant is attractive and parking was easy. The service was ok but not very friendly. We got egg drop soup as part of the lunch combo and it one of the better items in our meal but we will not return. We will pay closer attention to reviews and our research in the future.

A clean, bright spot, and the food was acceptable, but that's about it. Three of us went there for dinner, and were underwhelmed by the flavor, service, and overall ambience. Portions were small and somewhat overpriced, and they make it clear on the menu that they don't do substitutions, even when these would be very easy (I always ask for minor changes, which most restaurants accommodate).

Ordered chicken Pad Thai with 2 stars. Food temperature was nice and hot when I picked it up. But it had no spiciness to it at all. Chicken tough, no utensils or napkins provided. Very disappointed and didn't finish. Very blah for them.

The food tasted as if it had been microwaved at least twice. The server vehemently disagreed with me and wanted to cash me out immediately. Even if the noodles hadn't been disintegrated and the prawns dried up, the flavor was wrong. Go to Wanida's instead.
