Boston's Kbbq options are relatively limited, but I think this is the best AYCE spot in the area. The meat selections aren't super varied, but they have all the staples and they do them well. Most of us preferred the non marinated offerings, though they were all tasty. They also offer some solid side dishes - the egg custard, wings, scallion pancake and japchae were some of my favorites. I also really, really appreciate the variety of banchan - which to me, is the most critical part of Kbbq.I've been twice now and would go back when in the mood for some Kbbq!

The food is fine. Service is TERRIBLE. A girl name Jane( She said her name is Jane when I asked ) asked me whether we were ready to pay the bill 30 mins after we came in while we were still eating. I nodded out of instinct cause I was too surprised to react. Then she put the bills on my table. I finally said we were not ready to pay. Then she came for at least THREE times asking us whether we were ready to pay. This made me felt really uncomfortable and awkward. The last time she asked us to pay, I said OK. Then while we were finishing up, she came again asking whether she can clean it up. I nodded again out of instinct and felt really awkward and uncomfortable. She was targeting us. She treated other customers OK but now us Chinese. Probably a rxxcist.I still paid with 15 percent tips. For people who's considering coming here-Please don't.

A great AYCE Korean BBQ place in Boston finally!! Service was overall great and while the meat selections are a bit more limiting compared to some places like Sura, for $39.99 per person, value wise I say it's very hard to beat! While the majority of the meats and side dishes we got were great, the marinated meats were a bit interesting as it tasted like they used a marinade that had a strong black bean flavor (like what you would find in Jajangmyeon) instead of a typically more soy based marinade. It wasn't bad per se but it was definitely unexpected. Overall the highlights for the side dishes was the Tofu stew and egg custard. Seafood scallion pancake was decent. The spicy rice cake was decent (the sauce was good though the rice cakes themselves were meh). The Takoyaki was nothing special. For the meats, we enjoyed the ribeye, thin sliced beef brisket and pork belly. The marinated beef short rib was okay but the marinade was a bit too different for our tastes. Also I'd skip the sausage unless you like plain hot dogs!Overall we were quite pleased with our meal. The ambiance was decent although it was pretty dang dark when we were eating (it was around 1pm!). I'm hoping they'll turn the lights up more next time.

As what I believe is the only AYCE KBBQ spot in Boston proper, I thought this spot was pretty solid. Right next to Northeastern and close to Suffolk/Wentworth, the vibe felt very young and modern. Ventilation was also a but questionable, but hopefully they'll smooth that out as I know it's a pretty new spot. We had a larger party and called ahead for our reservation so we got one of the rooms in the back. I honestly think this spot was only 4 stars due to how we had our own room - I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much if we were in the main area. Service was very solid. They were super attentive and came in at appropriate points for additional orders, water refills, and just delivering food in general as well as replacing grills. The meat was decent quality, nothing amazing, but for AYCE it was good. The sides were also nice - I enjoyed the pancakes and steamed egg soup. There was also ice cream at the end that they serve in small cups. Overall, we had a great experience and wouldn't mind coming back again. The food, service, and ambiance were very solid. Thanks, Omi!

I was pretty excited to try this place, as its probably the closest AYCE Korean BBQ near me. This place is conveniently located in the NU/Copley area, with plenty of street (meter) parking. It looks pretty roomy inside with wide tables and benches, and a tall ceiling. I'll get right to it. This place was hot (temperature wise). We went on Saturday at 6pm and it was mid 80's and muggy/humid out. This place either had no air conditioning on, or it just couldn't keep up. It's weird as every long while, I'd feel cool air coming on (relief!) but most of the time it was off. Coupled with the hot BBQ, it was too unbearable to eat comfortably. I paid over $300 (including $50+ tip) and it was the worse experience. I'm in my t-shirt with my sleeves rolled up because it was THAT hot in there. They did have several industrial drying fans blowing at full blast, but it did not help. If I had to do it all over again, I'd take my money to HMart and buy a bunch of meat and just cook it at home. The only dessert option is ice cream cups. As for the food experience, we were a party of 6. The first thing you get is the bachan (side dishes). You can tell these are premade and not tailored to the size of your group. It was barely enough for 1, let alone a party of 6. We did ask for more and they were happy to bring some. As for the meats, they come out quickly after you fill out the paper to indicate what you want. The portions are small, so ask for extras. Our favorite was the spicy octopus and thinly sliced beef. The meat was okay. There were several cuts or pieces of meat that we could not chew and had to spit out. The appetizer dishes we ordered were not that good (spicy rice cakes, chicken wings, siu mais, dumplings etc). The staff was quick to help you switch out the hot plates. Speaking of which, every table had just 1 single hot plate. Its pretty small for the size of the table. The people who sit in the middle of the table are regulated to handle it/cook/serve etc. I feel the table could easily accommodate 2 of them, or one larger grill. There is NO VENT! You will come out smelling like kBBQ for sure...don't wear anything you care about. This place gives you 3 set sauces (mala flakes, some type of oil, and ssamjang), either you like it or you don't...but thats it. There is no sauce station or anything like that. The staff were fine, they did their job of bringing out food. Thats about all. Price wise, each person is $39.99. Canned soda is $2.50 each. 6 people with 20% tip came out to $311.30. 2 of our party were teens who ate nothing. The adults were so uncomfortable by the lack of air conditioning that it was hard to eat our money's worth too. If you've read this far, take my advice: 1. Go to HMart and buy meat to cook yourself (you'll have money leftover, or just use the savings to buy an electric grill as well)2. Just take your party to KTown BBQ (also AYCE) in Saugus on Rt1. Similar pricing, much better food quality and overall experience, free parking and some of the best service ever. BTW, you will *LOVE* their chicken wings there (a side dish).

**Omi Korean Grill Review - Boston** Located at 267 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115, Omi Korean Grill offers an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ experience that's a real steal at $40 in Boston. The setup is ideal for large groups with giant booths and a grill at the center of each table, making for a fun and interactive dining experience. Appetizers: Started off strong with delicious seaweed salad, tasty chicken wings, and scrumptious scallion pancakes. The tteokbokki, although not very spicy, was a hit among rice cake lovers. Meat Selection: The beef cuts are a highlight here. The marinated beef bulgogi and beef short ribs were my personal favorites, offering rich flavors that are hard to resist. Fair Warning: Be prepared to leave with a delightful 'meat' aroma and possibly some meat sweats, but trust me, it's all worth it! Ratings:- Food: Solid 8/10 - Ambiance: 5/10 - Affordability: 8/10 PSA: Remember, it's all-you-can-eat but no takeout boxes allowed. Make sure to savor every bite while you're there! If you're in Boston and craving Korean BBQ, Omi Korean Grill is a must-visit! You really can't go wrong here.

I was excited that there is a new AYCE kbbq in town and went in with high expectations. I was disappointed unfortunately. The staff is friendly and service is fast. The grill is powerful but there is too little ventilation. The meat, however, is just mediocre. I understand this is AYCE but the servings are just too small. The marinated meat is also what you can get in asian grocery stores. We also had kimchi jjigae and steamed egg for appetizers and there were decent. I feel like the menu can be more extensive for AYCE menu and they only also had tiny ice cream for dessert. It might be also because it is fairly new but there was a wait for early Wednesday dinner. All in all, it wasn't that remarkable place for AYCE bbq.-4.5/10

Had to try Omi since it's the new ayce kbbq place in Boston, and we all know Boston does not have much ayce kbbq places. We made a reservation for 7 in advance. We sat in a booth specifically for 7 since there was a mall that protruded (which is fine) and we got side dishes and water. For food, we only got the beef and the pork belly's, and the appetizers. I will say that the beef itself was pretty good quality. The boneless short ribs and the brisket was good. They ran out of intestines so we didn't get to try that. The pork belly was also good. I wouldn't get the bulgogi as it didn't taste good and the texture was super off. For apps we got everything. The chicken wings and the spicy rice cakes were not what we expected, the gyoza, takoyaki, and shumai were solid (definitely bought frozen and fried), but the egg and the kimchi jigae were really good. The service was great, everyone was super attentive and helpful. With the amount of things we requested they were super nice. If you do get sat in a booth with two grills, i will say it is gonna be a pain to get the inside grill changed as people would have to move out of the booth so the server can go in and change it. Overall, it's a solid place to try once, and they are still super new. However, it didn't really feel like an ayce kbbq place to me. I would try this again if they added more stuff or maybe added like a DIY sauce/side dish bar. I will say again that the staff is super nice and attentive to our group.

Omi Korean Grill is an ayce Korean bbq spot on Huntington Ave right by Northeastern. It opened last week and I was able to try it on their soft opening. The only other ayce kbbq in Boston area is Sura but the quality is pretty bad and it's expensive for what you're getting. This is $40 per person and they have a variety of appetizers, meats, and seafoods. I got the brisket, marinated bulgogi, boneless short rib, marinated short rib, pork belly, spicy pork, tofu stew, steamed egg, and rice. The first thing that was not great was that the tofu stew had seafood in it (imitation crab, mussels, squid) but was listed as tofu stew, and I did not like it as it was extremely fishy and also could be a serious problem for people with seafood allergies. The steamed egg was really good and fluffy as well as the rice. For the meats, the two that were my least favorite were probably the spicy pork bulgogi snd the marinated beef bulgogi because there was no marinated flavor. Spicy pork should be red with gochujang or some type of spice and it's the one in the photo with the onions. Not bad meat quality but no flavor. Next was the boneless short rib, since it was pretty good quality and thick cut but not my favorite. My favorites were the pork belly, galbi, and beef brisket. All were good quality and flavorful. I also got zucchini and mushroom which are my favorite bbq vegetables and I like how you can order individual vegetables instead of having to order a bunch. The banchan was decent but not fully traditional. Kimchi and then the yellow pickled radish, but it also came with seaweed salad and bamboo shoots. Dipping sauces were samjang and the dark sauce I couldn't figure out what it was but tasted more vinegary. The red chili powder is really good but I believe it's Chinese since I have only had it in Chinese food. For $40 I think the food quality was good and I would probably come back. The one issue I had was the grills not being replaced unless I asked, and with marinated meats they burn so quickly that the grill is covered in burnt charred marinade. The server was attentive, but as it was towards the end of the night seemed to be annoyed that we kept ordering more and annoyed changing our grill, so we didn't ask for the grill to be changed anymore. Then when we cooked new meat it would be covered in blackened stuff which not only tastes bad but isn't good for you to eat. One thing Omi could improve on is changing the grills but everything else was great. I recommend this place if you want ayce bbq to get your moneys worth as it is better than Sura, but for regular bbq there are better spots.

A pricy but decent place to get ayce kbbq. It comes out to around 40 dollars a person and the menu features pork, seafood, chicken, and beef. Included in the ayce are side dishes which was really enjoyable as often prepared dishes would be extra. Not many restaurants include takoyaki as part of their ayce experience either. The takoyaki was mediocre but the main point of going to kbbq is not for the side dishes! All the meat was pretty good quality and our server was friendly and showed us the best way to cook our meat. All seats are booth seats which was a little detail that I liked a lot!
