Located a little off the beaten path there is dedicated parking that makes access pretty easy to this wonderful little restaurant. The former location of a a Japanese Yakiniku restaurant Zaika has made this space their very own. Having never been here before I was excited to give their lunch buffet a try. Buffet is offered on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11 to 2.Menu is available for lunch hours as well as dinner hours. Check their website for details. We were pleasantly greeted by the pleasant restaurant owner who directed us to a wonderful buffet. Not on the buffet, but offered was any type of freshly made naan we preferred. We enjoyed the garlic naan and some soft drinks as this restaurant does not offer alcohol unless the bartender is on duty in the evening. The buffet started with vegetarian options that included fresh fruit, salad items, and condiments. Wonderful vegetarian dishes that offered several types of lentil dishes, zucchini, eggplant, and rice, which were absolutely delicious. The meat area is completely Halal and today's dishes included butter and tandoori chicken options, a goat vindaloo stew that reminded me of beef short rib and was absolutely fabulous, Their meat dumplings were exceptionally delicate what's, and super yummy. We will definitely be back!

Nice buffet lunch place many vegetarian options. Amazing naan. The proprietor was attentive even though it was a buffet it was nice to be checked on. Vegetarian options were on the bland side, meat dishes were flavorful. The building's heat seemed to be odd as there were many space heaters to keep it warm.

Spectacular food! I'm from out of town, we came here for a family dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Besides than one other family, we were the only ones there but their service was great. Theres blackout screens/shades on the inside of the windows so it appears they would be closed but thankfully they have a big neon 'open' sign out front. I definitely recommend this establishment.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of Indian dishes, including my favorite Indian dish, tika masala and garlic naan bread. The food was fresh and well-seasoned. The restaurant was near empty when we went on a weekday but I think it comes alive on weekends when they have their buffet open. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Indian meal.

Been awhile since I've been to Zaika. Last few times I've tried they were closed. Now I'm not sure if it's new owners or what but they no longer have a liquor license. At lunch today it was somewhat odd. Good but but odd. Waiter is part owner I think. Dressed like he just got out of bed lol... He was nice but I never got my water refilled once. My Palek paneer was very good. Toms of flavor. My mulligatawny soup was unfortunately not good. Was thin and not what you think of when it comes to that soup. It used to be amazing here. Great ambience and the owners/ waiters were extremely friendly.

Had the lunch buffet and with tax it was $20, which for the amount and quality of food, I think that's reasonable.I think ~7 veg options and ~ 7 meat options, alongside some salad, watermelon, rice, raita. At least when I went, you had to find someone to get Naan (someone also eating there told us) - unsure if that is always the case, but if so, would be nice if there was a button or something you could press to get someone to come over to give more naan, refill water/drinks, etc. I'd love for 1 dish to be on the spicier end - to me, nothing was that spicy (but I get the buffet needs to cater to many palets)

It's the people who run this restaurant that make it all worth while. They go out of their way to make sure that everything they place in front of you is to perfection. Amazing food, lovely people and a great atmosphere. I would definitely say this is the best Indian restaurant in Omaha!!!

Opting for take-out, our experience was great. I recommend the Butter Chicken. The Afghan Naan, although a very generous portion, didn't align with my taste. However, you get a lot of it. For a smaller group of 2 to 4, one order should suffice. In Omaha, where there's no shortage of excellent Indian restaurants, this establishment comfortably holds its ground among them. While the location might be a bit concealed, reminiscent of its proximity to the old Sushi Japan, it's at 144th & Center within the complex shared with Old Chicago Pizza.

My recent visit to Zaika left me utterly dismayed and disgusted by the appalling lack of cleanliness and hygiene standards at this establishment. From the moment I entered, it was evident that this was not a place where one could enjoy a meal with peace of mind. The first red flag was the state of the bathroom facilities. Not only were they unkempt and unhygienic, but to my shock and horror, there was fecal matter on the bathroom floor, a sight that no patron should ever have to encounter. This blatant disregard for basic sanitation is not only unacceptable but also poses a serious health hazard to customers and staff alike. Food was mid.
