Your Precious Pets

Please read. I want to start first by saying the owner is more than lovely. And I have done my fair share at trying to give them a second shot, a third shot, even a fourth shot because the owner is so sweet, but time after time, I have had awful groomers who have disregarded my requests...botched jobs...and been more than rude with me. Every single time it's the same, I get a puppy cut, and tell them to leave her eyelashes...pretty simple. The last time I went in, was the last straw. I dropped her off at 830 a.m., and was told she would be ready by noon. around noon, I received a call asking what kind of cut I wanted because there is no such thing as a puppy cut.... I was in complete aw of how rude this employee was to me on the phone, not to mention the fact that she is just now about to give her a cut when i was scheduled to pick her up? What has my dog been doing all day? Just ignored? locked up? no one taking her outside? I was told she was first in line to be taken care of when she was dropped off this morning, so When the employee was being combative with me on the phone, i asked to speak with the manager..I was told there was no manager working there at the moment and I could talk to another groomer. She apologized on her behalf, but it felt very off, and left me in a very uncomfortable position. While being scared for my dog. My dog didn't end up getting done until 3 p.m. When we got her, there were uneven patches, AGAIN, and her eyelashes were cut off. On her grooming card, in big letters, it says "DO NOT TOUCH EYELASHES" Needless to say, I have wasted hundreds of dollars on piss poor haircuts, awful service, and animal neglect on their behalf, but MOST importantly..I do not trust these groomers. You can be a bad groomer but still be good with dogs, and this is not the case. They've messed up her hair so many times, and I still tried because I felt comfortable with the owner, but at this point, I realize if he isn't there, they literally do not care, are lazy, and rude. I will never leave my dog alone with these people.

they refused to do my dog again but only after they butchered his haircut. it is a shih tzu poo and they completely shaved his tail! it will take a year to grow that tail back. and the haircut was so chunky !! the business is under new management and they are very rude!!!! I am glad they told me not to come back because I wasn't coming back anyway. but I would like a full refund for my choppy job! they charged a extra "huge" fee for handling. didn't tell me that till I went to pay. Do not recommend this groomer to anyone !

A few reasons I'd recommend this groomer. I loved the idea of all the dogs getting to run around together in the shop during the day, and my dog loves it too. Sounds like chaos, but most the dogs behave great & the staff gives instruction as needed.Our miniature golden doodle could be a chore to groom, especially when his coat got more matted than we'd hoped, but Sarah did a great job saving the day. His hair is short, but not too short on his body. She did a great job making his face & head look good too. Finally, the staff as a whole, from the owner to the groomers are friendly and kind to dogs and their owners alike.

We have went to Your Precious Pets 4 times with our miniature golden doodle. Positives:- They are affordable.- Your dog gets to mingle with other dogs while they wait.Negatives: - If your dog has matts, they will automatically resort to shaving them down instead of trying to brush them out.- There is only one worker there that has been kind, the rest always seem to have an attitude and don't want to be there. Example: I called to make another appointment today and the girl who answered the phone asked for my dog's name and paused for a long time and with attitude said, "THAT is your dog's name?" Then she asked for my last name and said they don't have us on file, so they can't get us in. I told her we've been there 4 times and she asked if we had a membership card. I said, "No, we've never received a card from them." She then proceeded to tell me that I must have never been there before then. She said they could probably get us in tomorrow, but I told her we were going to try to find somewhere else today. She said, "okay" and hung up.

I won't go anywhere else! My fur baby is always well groomed when I pick him up, and I've never seen him pulled from a cage. When they are not getting worked on, they play with the other "customers". I LOVE that! I also love that even before he sees me, he looks like he's happy and having fun. I always feel bad having to leave him places, but never with these guys. That's just the atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I've also never had to wait long to get him in, and they will let him stay and play if I need to wait until I get off work to pick him up.Best place in town!

They always do a great job and let the dogs play with each other when they aren't being groomed. Make sure to call a week or so in advance since they get booked up pretty fast.

Please do not take your dog to this place. When I walked in the workers were yelling at the dogs. That should have been my first warning and I should of trusted my gut feeling. I left my pup there with them. She is a sweet dog who is large and long haired. She deserves every bit of kindness and good treatment, like your dog does. I just took my pup to the vet because she was licking her paws constantly. She had to have part of her paw shaved off and is now on antibiotics. They burnt her paw with the clippers. She had a huge blister on the bottom of her foot. That same paw was cut and super sore. I am not sure if they sliced her paw while trimming her nails. I also noticed she had cuts and scabs all over her body. I don't feel as though this was good treatment. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY PUP THERE AGAIN AND I HOPE YOU THINK TWICE BEFORE TAKING YOURS.

I will never take my dogs to Your Precious Pets again. The place smelled like male dog urine so bad that it burned my nose and left my son feeling nauseous. They injured my dog when the clippers nipped her skin and left an open wound. When I picked her up, her chin was soaking wet and I had to ask for paper towels to dry her off. I have worked as a vet assistant, groomer, and kennel worker and this was by far the worse place I have come across when dealing with pets. Also, my dog has been groomed several times without incident and she has spent the last two days shaking and moping about. This is very unlike her and she is usually happy and hopping about, unless we are having a thunderstorm. I spoke with the owner and he never offered a refund and couldn't believe I was making a complaint. It is good we live in a city with other options, as I will go back to using the last one before this place. It's too bad, we were excited to try out this groomer because they are literally in our backyard.
