After I slept in bed. Best linens ever!

View of the gas station and Sapp Bros. next door.
Good size fridge, microwave and dresser, desk.

Door leading to basement corridor of rooms. All those little black dots on the ground are dead bug carcasses.

Doesn't matter if you paint on the concrete; the window still looks out into a gutter.

You know immediately upon entering the room whether or not you've chosen a good hotel. Yorkshire Inn's lobby isn't all that inviting, but the rooms are clean, inexpensive, safe, smell nice, and I had no problems with noise or neighbors during my stay. Not top of the line, but good for the price. I'm picky about hotels (I stick to well-known chains, not 'off brand'), so it's saying a lot when I write that I would stay again. I judged the outside unfairly & ended up being a fan of this place! I would recommend staying. My room was on the top floor with two queen beds.

Low rates for the town on a weekend night (less than $50 including tax). The front desk staff was extremely courteous and even seemed genuinely *enthusiastic* in greeting me when I walked in the door. That made me feel like I couldn't do too badly here.I was wrong. I probably should've just paid that extra $5 for another spot further up the road. What the check-in staff didn't bother to mention is that the single rooms are all lined up in the viewless *basement*. What you see is NOT what you get. This isn't just a two-story motel, it's a two-story motel with a claustrophobia-inducing basement corridor. In the dungeon-like room, there's a window that looks out to... a gutter. Had I been forewarned, I would have had the option to find a safer motel where I could keep an eye on my car full of heavy boxes which I was moving across the country and couldn't very well completely unload for a single night's stay. It really did NOT put me at ease that I couldn't at least have a room adjacent to or overlooking the parking lot.Plus, the steps littered with bug carcasses (little midwestern cockroaches?) wasn't exactly reassuring. The fake Christmas tree and poinsettia in the hallway would have been a quaint touch. Except it was August. At least the room itself had clean, bug-free surfaces, which is more than can be said for my previous stop. The room included a personal fridge, which is always nice. However, I gotta say, the cleaning staff still cut some corners... there was hair (not mine) on the furniture, and an old face towel behind the bed. The room smelled rather heavily of sweaty trucker. Or maybe it's just old. I woke up with a lungful of stench, which was motivation to get the hell out of there and back on the road as quickly as possible! So thanks to the Yorkshire Inn, I made pretty good time on the road that day.

Very noisy location, Cramped room with sink outside bathroom. Sparse breakfast owner made me feel uncomfortable like I was in her own kitchen.

The sheets for my daughters bed were unwashed and cum stained so we replaced them with sheets we brought from home. the beds were uncomfortable and hard like sleeping on the floor. the shower smelled like mildew. the door to the room was not sturdy and looked like it had been kicked down and screwed back together. the front desk lady was rude as hell and acted like a complete cunt. if you want a good, comfortable place to stay then this is definitely not it! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Drove an extra hour from Belleville because there were no places to stay. Found this place on Yelp. Called and desk person was very accommodating! Even called us to check if we were safe on the road. Room was very nice and clean. Beds were comfy. Water pressure was super! Breakfast was more than expected. Lots of individual packed yummies, fresh waffles, coffee and juices. Definitely happy and refreshed for our day on the road. Will stay here again on our way back through! Thank you for being here!

I stayed on 7/6/20 after driving about 12 hours and I'm glad I did. Great little motel, very friendly manager was working the desk. Well within the budget. The room was clean and was everything I was looking for for the night. It's right beside a gas station/truck stop (and close to others) and basically across the street from a wal-mart. There are a few restaurants within a minute or two drive but I got in too late to try any. I was traveling north on 81 and when I got back on the road the next day I quickly realized I made a good decision on places to stay, as there isn't a whole lot of options after York until you get to Pierre, SD. I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone passing through.
