Great studio, very helpful and nice teachers and they remember your name even after one class. This is a place I can see myself at regularly and they seem great at helping a beginning yoga student.

I used to love this place for the Bikram classes. But the last one I attended was very disappointing. Cues were incorrect and the teacher spoke so softly and calmly that I wondered if I had signed up for the wrong class. I have also attended non-Bikram classes here, which were just ok. When you invest in your teachers, you get results. I'm not sure that is happening here

Yoga Med is now called Shanti Yoga. My boss encouraged me to go to a hot yoga session with her after a stressful weekend. I met her on a Monday night for a 90 minute hot yoga session. The first visit was free. I am hesitant about yoga because I am an on-the-go type person and I enjoy my workouts to be fast, competitive or heavy weight lifting. Slowing down and breathing was just something I couldn't find the time for. But, I know I need that. I'm glad I went. Crystal is a great instructor and assisted me get into the proper form. I never felt like I didn't belong or an outsider. Every yoga attendee had varying capabilities. The hot yoga was wonderful! Because of the heat I was able to really sweat and have relaxed muscles to get a more deep stretch. I felt tired, detoxified and I had a very challenging workout! I went back for a 60 minute hot yoga session that week. My body is sore and grateful for the new physical and mental challenge. I bought the special $30 for 30 days for new students. There are mats available to borrow, lockers, bathrooms and showersTip: bring water and a towel!

I've come to YogaMed several times because I bought a Groupon deal. I've only been practicing yoga for about a year, and love how it's helped with my flexibility and stress. It's also a great way to balance my running workouts. YogaMed has three class rooms so they are able to offer multiple classes at once: I have tried the Flow and also Heated Flow classes which I absolutely loved! Instructors were very helpful in guiding us and offered alternatives and adjustments so everyone got the most out of the class. All instructors were so friendly and remembered my name when I attended their classes. Yoga mats and props are available for use. Another great part about this studio is the locker rooms: they are complete with lockers, bathrooms, and showers (and hair dryers for the ladies!). I haven't gone to a morning class yet, but would be extremely convenient to be able to get ready for work here (they offer morning heated classes). Also, they may be one of the few studios in Omaha that regularly offers a kids class. Love this place and will definitely be back!

This is the best yoga studio I have been to so far. Lisa- the co-owner, is opening her own studio in West O, so who knows if I'll like yoga med as much without her. She is the best Bikram instructor that I've had a class with. MK teaches yoga at a couple places in town- She's good too. Theresa is the only instructor that I don't care for. She doesn't seem to like teaching at all. I think she had a very poor attitude and I boycotted her classes long ago. Other than that, Yoga Med has a great variety of classes and they are more affordable than any other place in town. Great studio!
