During recent landscape work.

The staff here are ripping people off by delivering trash filled dirt and calling it a "topsoil" blend. When I let them know there was trash in what they delivered they feigned ignorance and acted like the "wind blew some stuff in". This tells me clearly it wasn't a mistake. This company intentionally did not come through with what I paid them for.

We ordered 5 yards of mulch for delivery during the 'morning' hours on a recent Friday. Both my husband and I took the day off of work to move the mulch. It was about 10am and we heard nothing so we called to ask about the status. The guy said they had 19 other deliveries that morning and were very busy, but would call the operations yard to see the status of our delivery yet that morning (by 11:59am). Another hour went by and we heard nothing. So my husband called again and the same young man said it would be delivered within the half hour. An hour went by and then we heard from someone on the Next Door app one block north of us asking if someone had ordered a load of mulch since they just got a delivery on their driveway they DID NOT order!! My husband went down and talked to them to find out this was our order of mulch that had been delivered to the wrong house while our correct address was listed on the invoice we had already prepaid!! We proceeded to call Yard Market for the 3rd time to tell them our issue. After 2 more hours of waiting, two guys got the mulch moved from the neighbor's house to our house and also asked to use one of our push brooms to clean off the neighbor's driveway. Since this was over the Memorial Day weekend, I waited to contact the office on Tuesday to tell them what happened and asked if they'd be willing to deliver another yard of mulch for free since it turned out 5 yards wasn't enough for what we needed. The supervisor (I think it was Kevin at the 111th location) had no empathy or regret for their crew screwing things up. He was not willing to fulfill my request or offer anything for our horrible customer experience until I continued to press for something. He finally offered a $50 gift card to one of their garden locations. Knowing that's all I was going to get, I accepted his offer. We have yet to see anything come in the mail from them as far as a gift card goes! We've done business with Terry Hughes Tree Service in the past and never experienced this poor of customer service with them. I think they'd be VERY unhappy to know this kind of service was occurring with the distribution of their mulch through this provider - Yard Market!!?? We will NEVER do business with Yard Market again! Buyer beware!!! :-(

Alex was great to work with on our stamped concrete patio. We had a ton of details and questions we wanted to consider and talk through. He was always happy to discuss options with us and brainstorm options. We ended up with a beautiful patio thanks to him and his crew.

We recently decided to dress up our mulched berms in our front and side yards. Aaron K. came out and estimated the work and within a few days, we had the touch ups done. I cannot say enough how impressed we were with his work ethic and his almost artistic style reshaping a couple that had gotten a bit overgrown. We 100% recommend the Yard Market for your outdoor dress-up needs.

Yard Market did a great job replacing a spruce tree and putting down mulch around all trees

Went to their store to submit a consult request. 3 weeks pass and no response. Gave business the benefit of the doubt that paper with our contact got "recycled." Called back based on "1st-rate customer service" advertisement and spoke with "Austin." Scheduled a home visit for the next day. 20 minutes after the appointment time passed, I called to see of Austin was safe. He answered the business phone - "yeah, I see your pop up # and was just heading your way." No show no call is not customer service I anticipate when hoping to create a relationship for home needs. (Big trees, potential big account).

Bought a $450 tree from them. We wanted a big tree to block the neighbors view into our backyard pool. Came with a 1 year warranty so they said. Most we ever spent on a tree. 2 weeks after they planted it the tree was looking bad. It got plenty of water. We called and they said it's prob just stress from being planted. Give it time. Tree keep getting worse. Called again and wanted them to come look at it. Finally came out after the tree was completely brown. They took one look and said it was spider mites. Sorry that isn't covered under the warranty. We will definitely never buy anything from them again! Went to Mulhalls and replaced the tree. They have a 2 year warranty and they assured me they would replace the tree even for "spider mites" !

I agree with Pam. Worse service I have ever encountered. We purchased a tree at the Omaha home show and were deciding on buying a single stem or a clump version. Tony told us to come out and look at the inventory and select a tree. We did. We changed the order from a clump version to a single stem and had the tree marked. A few weeks later they came with the tree to install. I came home to check on how it was going and noted they had delivered a clump and not the single stem we had marked. They took the tree back and said they would return with the correct tree. That was several weeks ago. We have been calling every couple of days to ask when they would deliver the tree. Today they informed us they will bring it out WHEN THEY HAVE OTHER ORDERS IN THE AREA.I will call to cancel the order and purchase from a company that cares about customer service.Well one day later and I am compelled to write another scathing review. Minutes after yesterdays post, the Yard Market called to apologize for the error and assure us they would deliver to tree we chose to us today (Tuesday). They came around 4 p.m. today and attempted to plant a single stem (as we had ordered) but it was half the size of the $453 dollar, ( with a 30% home show discount ) 10 foot tall 1 3/4 inch tree we had ordered. I checked the tree, measure it and looked for our name on it ( we marked to when we picked it out). It was barely 5 ft tall, less than an inch in diameter and did not have any markings. I sent it back and asked them to deliver the tree we paid for. I called Yard Market and spoke with a very nice lady who said they were sorry for the mixup and she would reverse the credit card charges. I told her to cancel the order and I would also contact the credit card. I called the card and asked for the charge to be reversed. Minutes later Austin from Yard Market called to tell me we would have to pay a restocking fee. ( 85 dollars ).We are retired and living on a fixed income. We are now almost $600 into this and still no tree.BBB complaint is my next step. Customers do not deserve to be treated like this. Wish I would have read the YELP reviews before purchasing the tree.

Poorest quality of service I've ever experienced, of course following hiring and supplying payment. Attitude of employees, condescending, argumentative, dismissive, including from management. Lack of service, communication, quality of information, follow up and response to known issues; couldn't be worse. Far too much type. The simplest of projects was a fiasco. Glad we learned on the small project before hiring them for the large one at another property. Disappointing.

This review is regarding my experience with the Yard Market on 9858 North 111 St. I rarely post negative reviews, and would not post one before giving it every benefit of doubt. I learned a $300 lesson and if that had been all, I would have let it go. But I also got an insult to go with injury. Even so, I gave the business an opportunity to get in touch, and they never did. A year ago, I purchased 3 Azaleas for $300 from the Yard Market. Only 1 out of 3 made it. Knowing the 1-year warranty was coming up, I called the Yard Market 3-4 times over a few weeks, to inquire about availability of replacement plants. Each time, a replacement was not available. When I asked about my options, I was offered plants half the size of what I originally purchased. I had 1 surviving plant and needed to replace 2, so half the size would be a mismatch. I asked about ordering in the correct size replacement, they were to call me back (never did). When I called yet again, I was told it wasn't an option. Eventually, Holly, the store manager, said she would issue a refund, so I could purchase a replacement elsewhere. So back to the store I trekked, dead plants and my receipt in hand, as instructed. Holly's demeanor was confrontational, but I know anyone can have a bad day. She attempted the refund a few times, and complained about the cash register. Holly then said she wouldn't give me a refund after all. Not only that, she then denied ever telling me she would issue a refund - accusing me of lying. It's one thing to be unfriendly, but it's another thing to question my integrity. The whole thing was bizarre. I don't know why Holly attempted to issue a refund, and then claimed she never said she'd refund me. I do know that dishonesty and falsely accusing someone of lying is not ok. I was insulted, and asked for Holly's manager's number. Holly verbatim said "Oh no, he don't play those games". This was Holly's style of communication and customer service. Holly made us and the other employees uncomfortable. I still gave the Yard Market a benefit of doubt, and gave my number for a callback. My experience with Holly the store manager was poor, but perhaps the gm/owner would want to hear from his customers. That was 10 days ago, and I haven't heard anything, which speaks volumes. I'm out of $300, the Yard Market has my dead plants, and I have this lesson to share: You can buy plants at many spots in town. It matters how a business cares for its customers.
