I have played this course quite a few times over the course of fifteen years. It is in excellent condition and the problems they have had with a few greens they have fixed. As far as a great place to golf, it can't be beat. No distractions. Beautiful scenery. A few holes are laid out funny like 7 and 13 but overall a fun course that is well maintained.

Played Woodland Hills 3-25-2023. Course was in decent condition, staff is satisfactory, but the "new" dynamic pricing sucks. Paid $275 for 3 players for an 11:40 am Tee Time. This course is not worth $91 per player. Not in March, not in July, not ever. The owners are squeezing because they are greedy. Way better golf values available.

PROs:* Very scenic course. * Bent grass fairways in good shape. * Friendly staff. NEUTRALs:* A bit pricy for Nebraska. CONs:* Greens were in bad shape from disease. * Sand-traps need work.

I played here few times, I always do so so due to the different grass in this golf course. I can not figured out how to hit the irons as I do on the public golf courses around Lincoln. What kind of grass is this, is it always soft all year long?. I always take a bigger divot than normals and don't fill totally secured what will my ball do.

I've played this course probably 10 times over a period of 17 years and each time the course is more beautiful then before. This course is out in the middle of no where but worth the 30+ minute drive from Lincoln. My wife played it for the first time and was overwhelmed with the playability and beauty. Treat yourself if you're in the area and play 18. You'll never regret it. BTW the staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful. We had a GPS malfunction and they brought us a new cart in the time it took to play a par 3.

I believe this is the best public course in Nebraska. I played it for the first time in the fall when the leaves were changing colors and the entire course was still in magnificent condition. They also had discounted rates due to the time of year and that made it very affordable. Hole 6 is so beautiful, I stood on the tee box for at least five minutes before I decided how I wanted to play it. I can't wait to go back, golf is so much more enjoyable when you play with spectacular surroundings like those you'll find at Woodland Hills.

Golfed Woodland Hills today. Never again. They went to dynamic pricing which translates to high prices. While the course is in good shape, so are some of the Lincoln city courses for far less money. There were hardly any golfers on the course. I assume because of the price. The kicker that makes me say never again is after the round I walked in behind the owner. If I were him and I made eye contact with someone who had just played my course I would have said something. "How was your round?" " Thanks for playing". Not this guy. He walked into clubhouse and closed the door in my face. He can keep his course. I will never golf there again. 5star course with 1star owner

Well, It's been nearly 3+ years since my last visit to Woodland Hills. I can without any hesitation, they have done NOTHING to improve this course. The Greens need to be killed and re-seeded, the fairways are a mixed bag of colors and varieties. Granted, the time of year has something to do with it, but the three places I've visited this early in the season were in far better shape. Please save your money and visit any other place in either Lincoln or Omaha. It'll be another 3-4 years before I go back there.

Played the course on Sunday Sep 16th. I only play the course about once a year but have been going there for the last 15 years or so. Either with an outing or with our own group. It is usually a very well maintained course. Not this day. Many dead areas on the course where they have lost the grass this summer. Many tee boxes resembled city muni courses with weeds and crabgrass instead of grass. And on this day none of the traps had been raked that morning...or probably the morning before...or the morning before that. They were in horrible shape. This is all fine and good for a city owned course that you can play for $30. We payed $70 a player that day. Currently, this course is a long way from being worth anything close to that. I hope there are better days ahead for Woodland Hills because it looks like the last couple months things haven't been going there way.

The course was beautiful. I just played out here the other day, the staff was absolutely great. The maintenance crew really takes pride in their work and you can tell. I talked to a couple of the groundskeepers and they were very kind and courteous of the golfers. I will be coming back for that reason. Mark S. wouldn't know a good golf course if pooped on his face. :-)
