Winns Pizza & Steak house

Made a trip to Indianola to try this classic restaurant. It was a Saturday & we easily got a seat but couldn't order pizza unless we waited an hour because of all the to go pizzas ordered. Wow! That tells me we've got to go back & try that pizza!! We started with crab Rangoon & egg rolls. Guys had the last two specials (it was only 6 pm): New York strip steaks with potatoes, salad bar & garlic bread. Friend got a chicken gyro salad & said the meat was really good & loved it. Guys liked their steaks & enjoyed the one trip salad bar. I had lasagna with garlic bread & a one trip salad bar. The lasagna wasn't very big & was okay. The salad bar, though small, had enough variety to be good. Our waitress was really good: efficient, positive & attentive! It's a regular person's kind of restaurant--you'll like it, too!

We've Ben to Winns several times when we lived in Indianola. They have excellent pizza, and even tried their steaks, which were really good. If you live in the area, you have to know about Winns it is a local favorite.

My mom and I went on a Monday for lunch. I had chicken with the salad bar. my mom had the chef salad. the salad bar is quite nice for as small as it was. plain old ice berg lettuce! thank you! service was great ND the chicken breat was incredibly huge! I couldn't even make a dent in it after my delicious salad. the texas toast was done perfectly. all the staff we encountered was very pleasant. we enjoyed our experience.

Full disclosure - we order here often on the weekends, but enjoy the convenience of takeout and eating at home.My son loves the grilled chicken salad with oily Italian and my wife and I usually go for the sauerkraut and Canadian bacon pizza. I also love the egg rolls and they have a delicious gyro .Eclectic menu but it all works!

Very good tenderloin. No booths so no very comfortable for me sitting. Highly recommend this place though

Popular place in downtown Indianola. We stopped by for pizza on our way to another event. The pizza was very tasty, reasonably-priced, and the server helped to make sure we got to our other event on time. The small salad bar was very popular.

Hands down the best pork chops I've ever had.Apparently they cut up their own pigs daily.The waitress was super friendly. The food came out quickly.The only thing was the small salad bar. There weren't many options and there was no tomatoes. If I ever make it up this way I'll see how their Lasagne stacks up against moms

Winn always has wonderful food and pleasant staff, including great pizza! I always have a good experience, so I come to Winns every time I'm in town.

We stopped today to order a pizza, not even realizing that they were getting ready to close for a couple hours. It was 1:40 PM and we were craving a good pizza! They definately did not disappoint as the pizza was the best we have ever had and the service was great! Thanks so much.
