Service was stellar as I sat at the bar, bbq brisket and ribs were great, Old Fashion w/Woodford Reserve fantastic...Ashley is the best!

There are still a few of these across Nebraska and we've generally always gotten a pretty decent steak there- still holds true. The staff there is terrific! Seated and waited on promptly, but never rushed. My dinner companion had the Brisket Sandwich- I had the smoked Gouda Mac n Cheese with grilled chicken. Let's start with the good- homemade bread and butter are served while you wait for your entree. It's a rolled loaf of pumpernickel and white, me preferring the former and my wife the latter. The softened whipped butter was pretty good and sated our appetites until the meal arrived. My wife really enjoyed the brisket sandwich, served with fries (which weren't anything to write home about). The sandwich is probably best eaten as an open face sandwich- but it was fantastic. Moist and tender and a great taste, it truly was brisket done well. Awesome to the Max!The smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese was, well- disappointing. I expected creamy, smoky goodness and was served very dry pasta with some Gouda mixed up in it that wasn't very smoky. . The grilled chicken was dry and flavorless and tasted as though it may have been a hold over from the prior day. Served with a choice of house salads, I had the Caesar, which was, um, just ok. Tasted good, but could used a bit more dressing to punch it up a bit. The wait staff was fantastic. Polite, attentive and prompt service seemed to be a priority for them and it made me reluctant to give only a 3 star review, but for an eatery that does such a great jobs with their steaks, they should have been able to pull off Mac n Cheese. Go- eat here, but have the brisket.

Everything was excellent - great bread, salad, baked potato - chicken strips were chicken strips.

Best grilled chicken sandwich with awesome BBQ sauces. My favorites were the legends and the chipotle. Chicken avocado salad was the best salad I have ever had, homemade dressing was the bomb. Service was good even though she was very busy. Ambiance was very well put together felt very comfortable. Will visit again.

Great meal and service at this location. It had been years since I have been to a Whiskey Creek. This one has the feel and the same great menu.

An hour wait for food for 3 sandwiches, a salad and a kids cheeseburger. About 40 minutes into that hour we finally asked for drink refills because it was obvious our server wasn't going to check in with us during our wait. The entree salad didn't come with the dressing, so after waiting another 10 minutes or so and not seeing the server we had to go find an employee to get the server to come bring us salad dressing. The manager stopped at our table during the hour wait for food and I thought it was to check in and apologize for the wait and let us know our food was coming but no, it was to say hi to my son and ask how old he was. When I skipped that question to ask about our food there was not even an apology for the wait. Food was okay, otherwise it would be 1 star.

My wife and I had steak dinners at the restaurant last night. The food was very good, but the service could've been better: our server took our orders without writing them down; my wife's included a side that was a house salad (that included an additional charge.) However, the salad was never brought to the table so I brought it to the attention of our servers; he said, "I could've sworn I brought it to your table." (Tempting as it was, I didn't say, "We're not in the business of hiding soiled salad bowls in our coats.") I asked him to please credit us with the missing side, but he credited us only for the upcharge, not for the side itself. (Since it was a birthday dinner, I didn't want to spoil my wife's mood and quibble over a few extra dollars--that would've been insensitive.)Another item was that we e-mailed the restaurant a week in advance asking if they offer a Senior discount; never heard back. I asked the same question of our server--he said he'd check, but didn't.We'll eat there again since the food _is_ good, but we'll insist to our server that s/he write down our order. Food was excellent,waitress and manager Josh were very friendly.My granddaughter is 11 and a very picky eater she ate everything she ordered and enjoyed the extra attention from Both the waitress and manager

I got their brisket sandwich and it was one of the driest meat i have ever had. No matter how much bbq sauce i put on it, it did not take away from the dryness. The only redeeming quality was the fries and rootbeer. would not come here again

We got to the place about 11 minutes before closing time, and we where toldSorry , we are closed !So, why do they have a Hrs of operation, if they just do as they please.
