Adding to my review as this was my first time, trying their famous strawberry wedding cake! It was beautiful, and tasted delicious. The cake itself was very light, fluffy, and moist. The frosting was plentiful, but not too thick or overbearing. It was light and fluffy itself as well. The middle layer of frosting with strawberries was my favorite part! Absolutely a delicious flavor combination with all of this together. Would definitely get this again!

I've been here plenty of times before and try to give this place a chance, so this review is indeed justified. In my opinion, they just keep falling short on hot menu items, the bakery items are actually really good. This last time, I got what was a poor attempt at apple crepes and it was simply horrible, the crepes were thick and it was like they took a can of apples and poured them on the crepes.. just not a good experience overall... Wheatfields has the potential to be great, but needs a complete menu overhaul!

Food was poor. The service was lacking. The facilities were dirty. I'm writing more because there is a minimum character count.

The best food at Wheatfields is hands down their baked goods! Must try the cinnamon rolls! Breakfast items otherwise were ok, and service was a bit slow. We got a strawberry cake to go when was delicious! Decorations look like a grandma's kitchen.

I walked over to wheat fields to buy soup and sandwich for lunch. I was able to place my order at the cash register right away. I ordered a sloppy Joe and a cup of seafood chowder . The cost was $12. The soup tasted scorched/slightly burnt. Not very pleasant. The sloppy Joe was ok. I wouldn't order the seafood chowder or any creamy soup from wheat field in the future .

This used to be a family establishment with great service and desserts, but my latest experience was more than disappointing. Service was subpar and food wasn't better. Too bad. Ambiance ruined by political posters everywhere.

We arrived at about 10:45 am. Our service was a bit slow with only a handful of people in the restaurant. We were given a booth in desperate need of some new padding. The coils were not very comfy on the butt. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy with two eggs over easy. I ordered the dussledorf potatoes. My potatoes were nice and crispy, just the way I like it. My husband said his B & G were in top 3 for Omaha. It was a bit pricey for the food, but made up for it in flavor.

I wonder if being an older woman dining alone affects service in some restaurants. I don't know if that was the reason I was ignored for so long after finishing my lunch or not. The waiter walked past me multiple times, not looking my way at all so I couldn't get his attention. I finally pushed my plate and napkin to the middle of the table and looked at my phone for awhile. Then he came with the bill and I had to request the strudel. I had a good lunch prior to that. The quiche Lorraine was a huge portion-- enough for two people. It's been awhile since I had it here and I think it might be a different recipe, but I still liked it. With such a big serving, it was too rich, so of course I have the rest to look forward to later. It came with a piece of strudel, also huge. I don't know if there was a fruit choice, but I took home the giant portion of cherry strudel to have for breakfast tomorrow. The menu appears to be paired down from what it used to be, but the bakery is as abundant as ever. I had hoped to get the little Swiss hotel salad, but the salad listed on the menu had chicken and was bigger than the little one so I skipped it. Except for the difficulty after I ate, I enjoyed my lunch very much.

The Quiche Lorraine - that's it and that's all! I can truthfully say it might be the best breakfast item I've ever had! Perfection!
