Western Iowa Dental

I've not been to the Dentist for awhile and after my great experience today at Western Iowa Dental I'm twice a year for sure. From the welcoming front desk and Maria the meticulous hygienist and Dr Galvin's gentle exam, I don't know why I waited so long to go to the Dentist!And my teeth look and feel fabulou!

The dentists here can be very nice and very professional when it comes to doing dental work. However, some of their dental assistants are really rude and unfriendly, and a few have no problem in humiliating clients for not having 'perfect' teeth or even for them having a medical condition. A couple of years ago I was there and heard one rude assistant literally chewing out a diabetic patient for having brought a soda into the clinic due to concerns about having a low blood sugar episode during whatever work had to be done. The lady was really rude and very condescending towards that client. And the front desk staff can be less than pleasant to people as well, especially those who may not speak English very well. And the front desk folks have a really difficult time communicating with each other as they'll send conflicting messages to patients and not know that another person had already sent a message. If you have to go there, the dentists are great and professional; the dental assistants may be nice but the front desk staff can be rude.
