Fantastic flavor. We had the sampler and the half a rack. The meat just falls off the bone and so flavorful. The sausage was my favorite.
Half rack of ribs
Two of the sauce choices, hot and sweet
The sampler! Pulled pork and chicken, brisket and a smoked sausage
Burnt ends with fries

Awesome food. Good sandwich. Bbq sweet sauce is good. The fried okra is yummy. Potato salad ok.

I had the burnt ends which, per Yelp, are supposed to be their best item. Very unremarkable. No great flavor and fatty. A small portion. The hot sauce was also a big nothing. The cole slaw was vinegar-based, but tasteless. Not many non-fast food restaurants in Gretna (at this time) and without much competition I suppose it will survive. But not worth the drive from Omaha.Because BBQ is relatively expensive, I have high standards and this place didn't meet them.

We were hungry for some good barbecue Saturday so just did a search on the Internet and found this place. We are so happy we did from the moment we walked in. We knew this was a good place to enjoy barbecue. We love the way the building is decorated and the staff did a great job bringing us some fantastic Q the place smells amazing too. The price is right. The food is good. The place is clean.

We were fairly disappointed with our meal there. The sliced brisket was sliced extremely thin, more like from a deli than a barbecue place. It was very dense and absolutely tasteless. Their excellent hot barbecue sauce helped but the brisket still wasn't worth eating. The burnt ends were very good and tasty. The sausage was ok, nothing special just an extremely mild summer sausage. The potato salad was made with lots and lots of mayonnaise not mustard. Probably our fault for not asking but we are always used to potato salad being mustard not mayo. I really wish the brisket had been like the burnt ends.

I've come to this place a number of times and I have never been disappointed. The meat is savory and tender, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere is laid back. Do I recommend this place? Yes.

I'm new to the area and tried this place based on the reviews. I should have read further down. The ribs were unseasoned. I know they don't do it like we do in Texas, but even a little salt would've helped. I ordered a half rack and couldn't eat more than 2 ribs. Oh and yes the lady at the register is still rude. I

I liked this place! I ordered the Carolina sandwich which was pulled pork with coleslaw on top. I put the sweet BBQ sauce on it. It was delicious! We were just passing thru but if I should venture here again, I would come back here for sure!

I have ordered take-out twice since the pandemic. First of all, none of the employees wear masks. The take-out is very quick, only 5 minutes wait time. I ordered the ribs and loaded fries. My husband tried to order the pork tenderloin, but they were out, so he ordered the turkey sandwich. Everything that we ordered needed seasoning; the ribs, the lodes fries, the cole slaw, the beans. I sprinkled seasoned salt on it when I got home and it was much better. I would rate this place as an average BBQ place, nothing spectacular or worth driving 20 minutes for. I have heard race reviews about this restaurant, but my two experiences didn't live up to the hype.

Update from a year ago. Food - I stopped on my way back from Iowa as I was hungry and BBQ sounded excellent. I had a pulled pork sandwich and fries for $11. Pork was delicious and fries were good. Great mix of sauces at the table to have it your way and pickles came with the sandwich. An awesome meal and great price. Way better food than what's at the Mall! Beer prices are excellent as well ($3 domestic and $3.50 for craft brews). Service - ordered at the desk and they brought the food out promptly. Good service and nice people. Ambiance - restaurant is full of signs and license plates. It's fun to look at while eating. The bathrooms are still a bit spartan with graffiti on the walls, but I guess it's part of the style of the restaurant. Overall, a great stop for a hungry traveler and good BBQ. Hard to go wrong.

If you are looking for great, or even good barbecue, don't stop here. Nice atmosphere, decent prices and quick service. Poor attempt at barbecue and certainly not worth the price. SMH at the people who gave his place five star reviews. There is some really good barbecue in the Omaha area but this isn't it. Just look at my reviews. The brisket was dry and rubbery. Pork was bland and stringy. Ribs were a 6 out of 10. I think some of the problem was some of the food had been sitting around a long time.Potato salad was plain but we added some of their Carolina mustard to make it palatable. Baked beans were lukewarm and tasted like they just came out of a can with no unique flavor. The "hot" sauce wasn't really hot and the "sweet" sauce was just okay.Overall, we saw no reason to return.
