Wayne's New Skoo BBQ

I realized recently that I love BBQ and that we've got some great bbq places here in Omaha. Wayne's was quick, affordable, and delicious! They do call ahead orders and they have a drive up window for your convenience. There's a few tables and chairs inside if you want to sit there and eat. I got burnt ends, pulled pork, French fries, fried cabbage, a cookie and a drink for less than $20 and literally everything was delicious.

The meat was amazing. Hubs had the BBQ brisket sandwich and I had the catfish. Loved those very much. The fries were just okay. I'd go back though to try the brisket. Guy working there was nice and good was done on time.

The ribs were delicious; smoked just right and perfectly tender. The brisket was chopped, also tender and flavorful. We found this place with a "BBQ near me" search and don't know that we would have ever know about it otherwise. This is a small place, though you can dine in. We got ours to go and enjoyed a chopped up hot link on the way home. The baked beans had ground beef and a nice tangy flavor and fries were seasoned well. I LOVE dirty rice but their rice was not as flavorful as e rest of the food. 4/5 stars for that and the price seemed a bit high. (A slice of apple pie was $6) We will try this place again; next time catfish filets. The service was super. Parking lot right next to the building.

I've driven past a dozen times.... BBQ pops in my brain.. Yes - let's try Wayne's - Tiny little spot - Do not I'll say it again so not pass by this place. Holy deliciousness I called in an order- said I'd be there in 20- he said I'll see ya soon- Fries sizzling as I walked in - OH just getting in side the door and this lovely couple asks me if I'd like something sweet to go with my order. YES please that cheesecake and fresh fruit combo was crazy crazy fun and good. Oh back to the ribs - smoked to fall off the bone tender and full of flavor, crispy hot fries, cole slaw and a cookie. I was going to share... but I changed my mind after one bite. Run and I mean run fast and get some of Wayne's BBQ you won't regret it!

It is a small unassuming place and the folks there weren't overly friendly, but the cashier was polite and quickly took my order. I ordered the brisket sandwich combo, I guess that I was expecting slices of brisket. No matter really, the chopped brisket was tender and with a little dollop of the mild BBQ sauce that was provide, I found it pretty darn good. I opted for the coleslaw as a side and although it seemed like a small serving, it was good. I'd like to go back and try a few of their other offerings. I really want to try the "Hotboy" next

Great BBQ! The ribs are served dry with sauce on the side. They are tender and smoky and cooked perfectly. I like the mild sauce. But they have others too. I never had cabbage with bacon before and it is amazing at Wayne's. BBQ beans are good too. Service in drive through was prompt and friendly.

I'll get straight to the point. This is a bbq spot but I have fallen in love with their catfish fillet meal and catfish sandwich and fries soooooooo GOOD!! I tried the brisket nachos and was not impressed it was a bit cold maybe I came on an off day. I do recommend you give this place a try.

The food was EXCELLENT -- we had it catered to our work today. I've never seen any catering containers here actually get completely emptied, and we ate all of it. With lots of people out of the office! The brisket, mac and cheese, and CORNBREAD (!!!!!) were real stand-outs.

Wow!! This place has wonderful tasting ribs cooked just right, and the side dishes are very good too! The fried cabbage is the best cooked cabbage dish I've ever had in my life and I'm probably older than you! Feeling like having a double cabbage kind of day, I had the coleslaw too and it was very good!The lady behind the counter was very nice - you know, just as most Nebraskans are quite friendly! The only negative aspect to this place is that there aren't very many tables.

I have to say that the ribs were great and the spicy bbq sauce was excellent. Not very spicy, but really good flavor. I also ordered catfish, which was good, but nothing special. Overall, definitely worth the money
