This was a nice little bakery in the small town of Wahoo. By the time we got there it was slim pickings but we still got a blueberry fritter, cherry turnover, crisp & a apricot croissant. The blueberry fritter was moist & not heavy like traditional fritters. The best we ever had. The cherry turnover was the perfect balance of sweet & tart. Everything was good & very reasonable. The owner helped us with our selection & was very nice.

On September 9th, my wife celebrated her birthday and as a surprise I got her a special creation by Christina, The Confectionist, who works out of the Wahoo Bakery. Now, it is safe to say that we both live the Wahoo Bakery, their donuts are always fresh and delicious, but the cake that I ordered put multiple gold stars on top of the already fantastic bakery. My wife loves peanut butter and chocolate, and I wanted it to be as close to a reeses peanut butter cup, so Christina made magic happen with a peanut butter flavored cake, milk chocolate ganache, gold flake, and beautiful fresh cut roses that would make any bride green with envy. I'm not a big peanut butter fan myself, but I must admit, that cake was probably, hands down, the best cake I've ever eaten.I won't pull your chain and say it was a cheap cake, but if you are looking for a wedding cake, or a special event cake, and you want something that everyone will end up raving about, give Christina a call, you will not be disappointed.

A coworker brought donuts from Wahoo Bakery to work today. These are applesauce donuts. It's too bad that bakery is so far away from me. One of these days, I'll have to drive to Wahoo just to try some of their others donuts. Based on these donuts, I give this bakery 5 stars. Good stuff.

Originally from Wahoo, the donuts from 'back in the day' were second to none. For a few years as I got older, the traditional perfect cake donuts seemed to get lost. Now?!?! Back to perfection! And, thanks to my grandmother, I'm a total kolach snob and now I buy the Wahoo Bakery OUT of poppyseed if I'm in town and they allow me to. Kudos to whoever has the magic hands these days because you have nailed it! Keep up the great work and granting a worthy excuse for me to overindulge on occasion.

These donuts are amazing!! They remind me of the ones I got when I was little before school. A great variety. Always fresh, but come early as they are in high demand! They make adorable sugar cookies and you can special order them as well. Friendly service up front & a good guy making donuts in back.

Great little bakery that I never knew Wahoo had. I don't know how I've missed out over the years, as I've probably passed through Wahoo hundreds of times. It's awesome to see Wahoo's downtown start to be revitalized and love that it is still retaining the historic feel to it. Hoping the bank doesn't ruin that with hideous modern architecture. Love the quaint, homey feel to it. The pastry was great, the prices were reasonable and the service was quick and friendly. The only thing I would change is to make it more noticeable from the street. Maybe Wahoo could put signs up along the main drag through town to let people know there is an old town area with coffee shops, antique stores, restaurants, etc.

It's extremely important to support local businesses but I can't do it when everything I've tried either doesn't taste good and/or makes me and my family sick. The previous owners churned out consistently great baked goods at fair prices. The service was wonderful but the old workers are gone now. Now, the shop is really charming to look at and definitely a bright spot on the block but it's no where near as good and costs much more. It doesn't matter if something has a fancy name and looks great, if the box tastes better. I'm sure this review will end up on the local FB page with complaints from the owner that people are so mean but it's the truth and it can't be sugar coated. I'll take a humble baker of "just baked goods".

This bakery is fantastic and they have gluten free options. They will do custom orders upon request. I had a gluten free pie made that was out of this world

Everything is delicious. They even have gluten free selection but they go fast. Love the blueberry fritter bread. All of the sweet rolls and fries are way to big. I would prefer small ones and then I could try more selection. The apple fritters and the fried rolls are as big as my hand! Too much for one. The donuts are perfection.Wide variety, but they are gone quickly. Get there early!
