This has apparently become the local geezer breakfast spot or one of several. We had a 'Best Of' breakfast experience here for food quality. Was slow served and only a couple other customers.

Most of the food court had nothing fresh so decided to order here. I had the chicken tenders and corn salad What a waste of money! Chicken has NO taste and was very over cooked and the salad is very bland!! It took forever so finally asked where my order was? They went back to check and it was just sitting there. She said manager was going to refund me for the wait. Hopefully she does as the food was not worth the stop

Good food, staff is not very well trained and our food was not correct, but they made it right. Will give them a try again

My biggest complaint is the ordering process. This place is in a grocery store. There is a designated entrance/exit for the restaurant. So you enter, sit down at a table, decide what you want, then leave the restaurant and go to a counter by the produce department and place your order. You pay at that time also. So then if you want something from the bar, you go back into the restaurant to the bar and order and pay again. The food was good enough. Just not worth the hassle.

Should shut this place down now! You have to order outside of the restaurant no menu or wait staff inside the actual restaurant! You have order outside in the store, pay and then go into the restaurant! There is Zero Wahlburger experience!!! No other Wahlburgers I have been too are set up this bad! Long wait!! Had to wait behind people paying for their Chinese, pizza, and stuff just to place an order!!

Went here for the first time after being told it was really good. I ordered the chili cheese fries and the PB&J burger. The chili cheese fries were undercooked and the burger was well done even though I requested the burger to be cooked medium. The taste wasn't bad but I was sadly disappointed with the quality. I plan on going again soon in hopes of redemption

Friendly staff & clean dining area. Ordered a $9.99 burger with a generous portion of tots that came with the burger all for $9.99 plus tax. I really felt I got my money's worth. Thanks Wahlburgers!

We'll, it's Wahlburger. Burgers are okay. They are pretty expensive. Best time to get one with a family is to get buy 1 and get a kids meal free special they run once a week. They do have plenty of beers on tap which is nice but otherwise, it's just Wahlburger. It's meh....

When I hear or see the name Hy-Vee I think of a hoarder. How much stuff can Hy-Vee pack into one store? I don't shop at Hy-Vee because most of their stores are crammed with displays, shelving, and other items in traffic areas. Most of their stores also have small isles. I find their sales to be absurd and non progressive. I have bellied up to the bar at Wahlburger's in Las Vegas on at least 3 occasions and liked it a lot. I've known about the Kearney location for awhile and aware that Hy-Vee has the franchise rights in the Midwest or in some of it with plans to put Wahlburger's in some of these locations. I stopped into the Kearney location while in town over the Thanksgiving holiday with the intention of ordering burgers and having a beer or two while waiting for the carry out. This is a newer model building for Hy-Vee and the buildout for their Market Grille that was here prior to Wahlburger's is quite impressive with plenty of seating, windows, and open air. After walking in I look around to see if I needed to be seated, there was nobody to greet me. I figured I'd sit at the bar anyway since most places that is where you go to order take out and I intended to have a drink anyway. I quickly catch on to the menu scanning process and began looking over the menu while I wait at the bar. And I waited. The TV's are small and hung up to high. If I were watching a game for 2 hours I'd get a kink in my neck. And I waited more. I noticed workers coming from the pizza area into the Wahlburger's area and cross contamination briefly bubbled in my thoughts. I waited a little longer. Finally I ask someone sitting at the end of the bar that seemed to be enjoying a large meal with a Hy-Vee shirt on, "Is anyone working here?" I got a snooty response with a crusty look that "no, nobody was working the bar." However unusual for a Saturday at noon. I didn't see any waiters or waitresses either. So I asked the same person if there was someone to take a food order. She told me that I needed to order in the produce department. I didn't bother to ask why the TVs in the bar were turned on or why drink specials were displayed which among several other questions would have yielded interesting responses I'm sure. So, the ordering area is adjacent to the Chinese food line in the produce department about 10 feet from the apples with an open air menu hanging from the ceiling above. The space can house about 5 guests in a line, 2 or 3 if socially distanced. I ordered one basic cheese burger and a double cheeseburger with fries for one and tots for the other side. $25 and drinks are not included. I was given a cafeteria number and the food was brought to me in about 15 minutes. I liked the bag the to-go food was in, sealed and see through. The burgers were good but not great. I thought the patty lacked flavor and seasoning and felt that a Whopper would have been a better option and most certainly a Runza burger. Both of our burger buns fell apart. Both the fries and tots were overcooked and too crispy. I would have liked ketchup on the side. The burgers do not come with ketchup and mustard and I was not offered the option of having it or having it on the side. Freebees were not given in the to-go bag either. $10-$14 for a burger with no drink included might work in the big cities but with good burgers down the street with fries and drink for much less is going to be tough for Hy-Vee especially given the strange experience they offer their guests. Perhaps drinks are included after all but I was never informed of that, given a fountain cup, or waited on. I assume they are not. I think Wahlburger's is good and it will thrive but it is not going to work with Hy-Vee handling it. The trend is to move away from food courts for various reasons, health being primary. Epic fail from Hy-Vee. They should stick to their Market Grille which we feel offers a much better experience with more dining options. See you back in Vegas Mark.
