The VIP lounge is a Omaha Classic! Wife and I and friends have been going there for years. Located on S 90th street just north of center. It's truly a nice cozy, cheap dive bar. Love that it feels and and looks like year around Christmas in there too. Bartenders are always nice attentive. They have free popcorn there. Very tasty but salty so you drink more lol. Love Saturday nights there as it's never to crowded and easy to talk in there. Drinks are very affordable so you can have many and won't break the wallet. Just a good ol neighborhood bar. Check it out sometime!

You know all of those sayings about why we shouldn't make assumptions or judge books by the covers? I'm pretty sure these sayings weren't referring to bars, but in the case of VIP Lounge, the sayings are all true.If you're a regular driver on the 90th Street route to-and-from home to school/store/church/work, then you've likely noticed the VIP sign and, on occasion, the group of smokers chatting outside of the lounge (post smoking ordinances, of course). With a small parking lot always full of cars, I'm not sure why I've never stopped in...but heck, on a random Thursday night of we wanted to give it a go.As you'd expect, cozy vintage feel with the low lounge chairs on casters, your bartender is your waitress and folks are not afraid to start up a conversation across the room. The scent of popcorn permeates the air which, actually, is a welcome help yourself snack after a couple of cocktails and random chatter with the folks you came with and customers at the neighboring table. While you can certainly wet your whistle with a cold Busch Lite, I opted for a Tito's martini up with blue cheese stuffed olives. Served super-chilled in a standard martini glass (thank goodness - those retro hipster 2oz glasses literally make me a bit batty), our "let's stop for one drink" turned into a "WTF it's been close to three hours of making friends with strangers" kinda night. Super-friendly bartender and patrons, we had more than a few chuckles at the expense of all.I totally understand the 5-star rating, but secretly hope you ignore this review. Now that I've discovered this place, I'm SO visiting again, but would hate to not get swivel chair.

Dive bar classic. Super friendly staff & regulars. Someone always buying the bar rounds. Darts, lots of TVs and swival chairs. What else could you want from a dive bar

This is a true neighborhood bar. It's clean small no fuss place to have a drink after work or for a "final final". Not a place to go if you're looking to act like an a-hole the owner and the regulars run a tight ship. Sit here for more than a minute and somebody's buying you a drink.

One of the best places in town to just chill, listen to music, and have a couple of drinks that won't break the bank. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is easy going. Your choice to hang in the corner or chat with all the friendly folks at the bar.

My neighborhood dive bar. Awesome place, though they are randomly expensive and have no beer on tap. But they have darts and super salty popcorn, which is more than enough to make it a mainstay in my regular rotation. The holiday lights up all year round help add to the ambience, as well as the crowd of semi-belligerent regulars. Great bar staff too.

Nice dive bar. Was pretty busy on the Friday happy hour I met some friends at. Service was kind of bare-bones. I wouldn't mind going back but it will likely not be a destination bar for me.

Very friendly neighborhood lounge , Shelby,Sarah and maddie. They take care of the clientele that comes into the bar. They're fast and get the drinks out to the customers . In a timely manner. And the owner Mel buys the bar around of drinks or a large group of people sitting at the vip . the C. E O. Of Port Charlotte . F. L.

The bartenders here are desperate for attention from anybody under 50-they charged us a couple bucks for over a dozen shots, 10/10

What ever you do don't open a tab, they will over charge you & poor service. Can't even give 1 star rating. If I never go back it will be to soon.
