We planned a short day trip from Des Moines IA to Lincoln NE on July 5th with stops in Omaha NE and Council Bluffs IA on our way home...We love to hit antique shops, antique malls, thrift, and consignment shops.Platte Valley Antique Mall, Cafe & Pub in nearby Greenwood NE was probably our favorite stop. Followed closely by Vintage Village Antique Mall, Aardvark Antiques, Burlington Antiques, and Timeless Treasures in Lincoln NE.All of these shops are worth stopping at and checking out!We really didn't get to Omaha NE itself, but there's always next time...! We only ran into one shop that we would not recommend. Lake Manawa Antiques in Councill Bluffs IA... Look it up. Lol

This place looked deceptively small, until you started going back into the back bowels of the place. As with any quality antique mall, they had some of everything aged. My favorites: ephemera, old postcards, vintage jewelry, some vintage clothes and hats, fun knick knacks and all kinds of random stuff. Bet you could go here weekly and see new stuff since it's so big. Friendly, helpful staff and you can park right out front.

Wow there is lots of stuff in here! I think we spent about an hour looking around. I ended up finding a few items. Then we came back Friday and I got a few things for my neighbor. I had sent him a pix.

Great place to browse and look for antiques and vintage items! Large variety of items to pick and choose from throughout the store. A lot of booths offered discounts too. Some items were priced fairly high and others were reasonable. I only found a few items that were reasonable. It was nice to see such a variety of vintage items. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also free parking was along the street in front of the store, so not very far to walk either. Great place other then the prices a little too high.

Very cute gem on O Street. Amazing the history and treasures you can find there. My daughter calls it a treasure store and it truly is! Found WWI and WWII history artifacts, dishes, decor, and memorabilia from yesteryear. Will definitely be back!

I LOVE VINTAGE VILLAGE. This is a fantastic place to find antiques and collectibles. Vintage Villages is located between 24th and 25th on the South side of O Street. It's about a half block down from Tam O'Shanter and has quite a few parking spots (meter free) right in front of the shop. They always have some great finds and deals sitting outside on the side walk to peak your interest before you even step foot in the door. The store and booths are organized wonderfully. This place is bigger than it seems, and has lots of nooks and crannies that keep popping up with even more wonderful antiques, vintage items, and collectibles. I often spend a long time looking over everything. The prices are so reasonable that I never leave empty handed. Also, if you find something you like but it's not in your price range...make them an offer! They'll call up the dealer and see what they can do for you. They have an awesome booth that sells tons of vinyl records ranging in prices and conditions. You can spend an hour looking through just this section alone! The service here is top notch and always friendly. If they see you wandering with your arms full they'll offer to take your things to the counter for you. By the time you're ready to check out your items are usually wrapped and ready to go for you! This place is the bee's knees!

This place is like reliving your childhood to many people. You walk in and pretty much you can find things from your past. Relic's from childhood, toys to furniture. It's fun just to look. They can find anything and everything you would like to have to add to a collection or to give as a gift for those special people in your life! Check it out!

The amount of Nazi, "storm trooper" memorabilia the owner allows in the store is pretty embarrassing and gross. In general, lots of junk - cans, empty jars, junk. The prices are decent but there's a lot of crap to wade through.
