The service was Great!! My food was hot and it was a large portion. Allison the manager was personable and follow-up after my food was served. After having a long day at work, I came into the bar. Matthew had a customer that was rude. I watched him handle it very well. I thought the service and food was great for my week work trip. Convenient located in the Double Tree Hilton. Omaha Southwest

I stay at the Doubletree whenever I'm in Omaha and I frequent Vida a few times on each of my stays. On my most recent stay I had gone down to Vida about 3 times and on my 3rd had a GREAT server name SAM. He was awesome. Very personable, tentative and always checking in on me and how I was doing. Even told him a sweet story about my grandpa who's now passed and the little Andes mints you get with your bill and he brought me back a handful of them which was really nice. I usually get the Omaha hot chicken sandwich but this visit whenever I went to vida , I got the Omaha hot chicken strips with fries and it was amazing! Great flavor and nice juicy chicken tenders! All in all, great service and great food!

Spent the night here on the way to Denver, were hoping for a nice dinner at a decent restaurant, unfortunately they didn't have the staff needed to open the kitchen. Although, they had some sandwich and deli options available and the bartender was sublime, creating makeshift drinks on the spot with quality liquor! We had a great night, thanks Tyler!

I knew it might be a challenge finding vegetarian foods in Omaha, home of steak. In fact, there is nothing vegetarian on the menu at Vida. However the waitstaff were willing and able to modify the southwest salad for me with no chicken. (I did get charged full price however.) The salad itself was tasty with the chipotle dressing being very yummy with a good kick. I was bummed to have my water given to me in a plastic cup. The staff were quite busy and I would say likely understaffed. I appreciated that the menu contained calorie information. The ambience itself looks fairly updated and modern.

Only had the breakfast buffet here, but wow was it impressive. For only $10, it's all you can eat and the selection is so good- eggs, potatoes, granola, fruit, yogurt, pastries, and so much more. The décor is nice, and the wait staff is just wonderful. Great coffee too! I'd eat here even if I wasn't staying at the connected hotel.

We ate here for our trip to the zoo since our hotel restaurant was closed. We had a great waitress I don't remember her name but she was very pleasent. The food was good and came out quickly. The soup tasted like hospital soup however everyone else's food was amazing. The place was very clean and very nicely put together. If we go back over here we will for sure eat here again I just won't get the soup.

Vida is the new restaurant located in the new DoubleTree Hotel on 72nd & Grover. I had stopped in a month or so ago to take a look at the menu. It was fairly basic mexican food, and what stood out in my mind was the 3 crunchy tacos they had for $5. Decided to finally stop in to try them. To my surprise the menu was entirely different, in fact the waitress said it was their 4th menu since they opened. The 3 crunchy tacos for $5 now changed to 2 "puffy" tacos for $10. They also added in many other food options such as meatloaf, reubens, pork chops, brisket, shrimp, etc. All over the board food items. The restaurant is kind of divided into two areas. One area was completely full of diners. It appeared to be some type of special event. The side we were on was fairly full as well. Our waitress was awesome. Very quick to attend to us considering in addition to waiting the guests on this side of the restaurant she was also running room service!! Ordered a margarita that was very tasty! I decided on the brisket tacos with pickled onion. While the pickled onion was interesting and I kind of liked it, I did not like it on my taco. The brisket was chopped into little pieces and appeared to have been fried resulting in dry chewy chunks of brisket. I didn't eat much of it.My dining partner opted for the "puffy tacos" which to our surprise were made out of fried pita bread. Not sure if they fried it too long but it honestly had no taste and basically crumbled when taking a bite. To me it just tasted like fried burnt bread. They came with rice and beans, and I thought the beans were creamy and good. The salsa that came with it had little taste and little spice. The restaurant itself is very nice so I may come back to try something else, or maybe I'll wait for the 5th menu! :-)

Holy cow. I've been traveling 3 weeks / month for about 20 years. This was the worst experience I've had in that time period. Waitress greeted me when I walked in. She invited me to sit anywhere. Restaurant was about 50% full. She proceeded to help two other customers that were seated after me.. one sat about 10 mins after me. I had to go to the bar for a menu and a request for water. Another 10 mins later I recd my water. Ordered a basic cheeseburger. After 45 mins of waiting for the cheeseburger I was told my plate was up next. 30 mins after that statement I inquired about my food? They were cooking it next. 20 mins later I left. I get it. People are not working. Service is slow because employees are overworked and doing their best with limited resources. I've worked in restaurants. I tip well for sometimes not great service. This was horrible. Other customers overheard my complaint and chimed in that there service was bad too. Hats off to the bartender that communicated and tried to get my food from the kitchen staff multiple times. Finally. I am not "one of those" customers. I sat patiently and waited for my food. I dislike the Karen's of the world. I will not be back to this restaurant. And may not stay at the hotel again. If you have time on your hands give this place a try. If you want to eat within 2-3 hours, I suggest you eat elsewhere.

Food and service was very poor. Waited 20min for drink, and another 20 to take our order. Goto Burger King instead.

Absolute garbage, the bartender is rude, I was told that they serve food until 1030, only to be told once I went down that the stopped serving at 9 o'clock. At that time it was 9:12 PM and the fact that I called ahead, and I was told when I checked in that they were serving until at least 10:30 PM is absolutely unacceptable. My wife and I are diamond members with Hilton, I have reached out to the general manager, and I will be reaching out to his regional manager in order to get to the bottom of what the hell happened this evening, which has left me and my two-year-old without supper based on, either, erroneous information, or deliberately misleading information I order to fill rooms.
