Victorian Inn

A smoke free room should be smoke free, this is not the case unfortunutely with this motel. We recieved a reduced rate due to a function in Beatrice, thankfully as we would not have paid a penny more for the room. It appears that the typical clients are one who live long term in these room, unfortunutely they are not setup as extended stay. Stay at the Holiday Inn Express is my only advice.

Apparently honoring reservations is not one of their strong suits. I called to make a reservation for my husband for while he was in town for business. They asked for his name and phone number and assured me that had a room for him. He called me shortly after he was due to check in and said he was now searching for a new hotel because this place did NOT have a room for him. They had no note. Nothing with his name or phone number. And all their rooms were given to someone else. My husband makes these business trips every other weekend and would really like to find a hotel that will be loyal to him for his repeated business. Apparently this is not the one. And other reviews reported the same thing.

Worst experience at a hotel. Let's start with the fact that the room I had "reserved" wasn't actually reserved at all and was given away. Then the woman at the counter said she had a room available for three nights and told me it came out to $79. Handed over my card and did not receive a receipt. $276 on my credit card statement later...... I found out (from the rude desk clerk over the phone a week later) that $79 was the price of the room for one night, and about $93 once you add tax. FYI you can stay at a Hilton Doubletree in Toronto Canada for that price. So the Victorian is pretty high for a hotel where we didn't even get the beds made or fresh towels even once. Don't stay here. If you do, get a total that includes tax and a printed receipt up front.

Well one star is one too many is all I have to say. I don't believe room had been cleaned in awhile. Sheets were filthy, ended up going out to the truck and grabbed sleeping bag to put on bed. I did complain but pretty sure that was a waste of breathe as it went in the attendents one ear and out the other.......

One star is to many! I have stayed her a couple times due to a tournament we were playing in Beatrice. I made my reservations 2 months in advance. The week leading up to my stay I was told I had to stay a minimum of 2 nights or they would not have a room for me. They never had that policy and just made it up. They felt that lying and threatening a customer was okay. The front desk told me they were very busy this weekend and if I didn't stay 2 nights they would move me to the Travels Lodge. I formed her that nowhere on my invoice or on her website did it say that it was a minimum 2 night stay at the Victorian Inn. She rudely interrupted me and told me that she would get back to me by Friday afternoon to let me know if I had a room or not. I called back on Friday afternoon and she said yes you have a room and rudely hung up on me. Unfortunately I need to stay there for my tournament that we have I'm sure that I will have dirty sheets and dirty towels for my one-night stay. With this being one of the only hotels in Beatrice there was not a lot of options. Being one of the only few hotels in Beatrice they need to learn how to run a business and a hotel. My best advice is stay in Lincoln or drive right through Beatrice don't stay here if you don't have to.

Pick a different hotel. Your health depends on it. Stayed overnight at The Victorian Inn December 2023.Then I noticed ~three feet of black mold in the shower. That morning and night is when itchy lesions began on my arms and back. I had to go to the dermatologist in Omaha the next day. My mother had a runny nose watery eyes and a sore throat the night and into the morning of our stay.

Pick another hotel or sleep in your car at Walmart! The service would be better sleeping in your car at Walmart! The place is dirty, we never heard a vacuum cleaner running the whole 6 days we were there! They do not provide room service. Bring your own shampoo. Saw a small cherry seed in the middle of my room in front of the TV first night, left it there to see if they vacuum, nope! Second day since there was no towel change, or room service to change the sheets, we left the door knob card out to "service the room". Came back to the room that evening, the card was on the door knob, no clean towels, beds just as we left them that morning, trash cans full! I had to raise my voice to get the receptionist to get us clean towels, we removed the trash ourselves! We demanded a new trash can for the living area that was not sticky, got it, good job! Their answer is always the service people will be coming in, in the morning! But what do they do all day, watch cricket games in India!? They also have the audacity to leave a tip envelope by the TV, LOL! We did not eat breakfast there after the second day! On the second day the chipped beef was ice cold, biscuits hard. On this same day, with tornadoes in the area, when we entered the breakfast area the TV was on a cricket game in Darasalam India. I asked the desk receptionist to change the channel to the weather channel. She gave me TV Channel schedule I changed it to the weather channel! Other travelers were pleased! I can assure you no one traveling is interested in the a cricket game in India when there are tornado warnings in the area! From the 3rd day on we had breakfast at McDonald's or Scooters Coffee, recommended! One evening I decided to get a Pepsi and Candy Bar from the vending machines. I asked for change, the receptionist would only change a dollar, the drink machine only takes 4 quarters, fortunately I had quarters in my car for laundry.There is a great laundromat in town, fast washers & dryers! The candy machine takes paper dollars but BEWARE, cost is $1.75 each, actually 2 dollars if you don't figure it out! TIP: The change drop where your quarter in change drops is modified with a piece of cardboard so the quarter lands without making noise. There is a gap in front of this cardboard that gets your quarter in change, it drops it into the machine bottom where you cannot get it. TIP: Here us how you beat it; put in two dollars as you make your selection lift the coin change lid, when the quarter hits the lid lower it slowly you can retrieve your quarter before it drops in the gap to where only those with a machine key can open it to get your quarter! Bet they don't have a key!? Or just buy your candy at Walmart. In room 204 where we had the displeasure of staying the faucets are pitted and corroded, the hair dryer is cracked exposing electrical connections wiring, right next to the bathroom sink! The refrigerator freezer will not freeze ice bottles. Do not stay here, in fact my new policy and it should be your policy, book any hotel for only one day! They do not meet basic hygiene standards, like this one, move to another hotel, if not available go to the Walmart Parking lot sleep in you car! While in Beatrice NE, I will never ever stay here again! I have travelled the World stayed in one star 3rd World country hotels from Nepal to Myanmar this Victorian Inn "operation" is subpar to any 3rd World Country I have stayed in! There is no way this unprofessional hotel operation should exist in the USA! This is a zero stars hotel, based on hygiene and the attitude of the staff! Their response to this truth telling review will say it all! Next time in Beatrice if no rooms are available I will do a review on sleeping in my SUV at Walmart! Have a great day anyway!

Stayed here for state baseball. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was great for a continental breakfast. Room was clean, as well. Would stay here again And kids loved the indoor pool.

Desk staff was excessively rude. There was a young man that was very polite and sweet. The other staff member who doesn't wear her badge was rude. If you can't train your staff how to treat guests, then you deserve the bad reviews that you get. Rudeness is mentioned in the other reviews. I'm assuming that it has to be a family member if this is tolerated.

First room they gave us nice size 2 double bed someone ripped the shelf off the wall and all the towels thrown on the floor so they moved us to a single bed room half the size and mold in the bathroom and around the window and air conditioning unit, ants, and dirty sheets. Ask them for a new room he looked at me like I was stupid and laughed and said no. If I could post pictures I would it's nasty. And i was not the only person saying something at least 4 other people that I seen was complaining.
