Great old school stop for a quiet beer. Friendly regulars, chill bartenders, and crockpot food occasionally. When the fish are biting there is a small fishing pond. Family friendly. Accessibility wise - easy to maneuver but it is a dirt/light gravel parking lot.

I would think that a VFW Post would know how to display an outdoor American flag. Guess I was wrong. This morning before dawn in the pouring rain with no lights illuminating the flag was Old Glory soaking wet hanging limp as an old dish rag.

Good service and great people! Of course during the summer it's more fun to chill outside by the lake. But if you want to relax and enjoy a few drinks for cheap with no drama this is the place. Oh and they are really into darts and horseshoes here.

I first came here earlier this year for Lent after seeing the sign at the top of the hill and was so glad I did! It is open to the public for Lent, which is great cause I'm not a veteran. I came back 3 Friday's in a row with friends! The atmosphere was great, and fish and chips were fresh, and the people were so friendly!I will definitely be back next spring!
