No one up front to take our money when we entered. After waiting decided to go in and grab someone.for a buffet it has plenty of options: pizza, pasta, meatballs, chicken, chicken fingers, ribs, fried shrimp, salad bar, desserts. For the most part the food was stocked and the hot foods were hot and the cold foods cold. Overall the food was good. With no complaints. Always need to remember it's a buffet and not a five star restaurant. Going for quantity with the hopes of some level of quality. I prefer Valentino's over the Pizza Ranch.will come back again.

I have not eaten at a Valentino's restaurant in 30 years! I was so excited to be coming through Nebraska, and to see that Valentino's is in Grand Island. The buffet is about nine dollars, and as I remembered, it includes an amazing assortment of tasty items. I just went with pizza and fried shrimp, along with some dessert pizza. As I remembered it, the pizza crust is sweet and delicious. This is some of the best pizza I've ever had. I wish I could come back here every week. Highly recommend.

This is an okay restaurant good for young children but not for a date. A couple years back the restaurant became under new ownership and since then it has went downhill. Food is fair definitely not gourmet. If you are looking to go somewhere quiet don't go here every time I come here children are always screaming and yelling.Service is okay we waited 25mins for a waitstaff to pickup our plates. (The restaurant was only half full). One good item is the glazed bread twists! If you're hungry for good Italian food don't eat here! Go to Napolis Italian (by the mall)

I don't have a high bar for buffets in general but Valentino's managed to come in below even those low standards. It's a pizza buffet and there was no pizza for most of the time we were there. Which was actually a blessing since the pizza is actually worse than most frozen pizzas. No plates. No silverware. No dessert pizza. Wow, could you make the experience more grim?Valentino's used to be great but those days are far, far in the past.

Not as much pizza offered here as I thought. The variety of food was good and quality was there for the most part. Good place for kids to go and eat. I would much rather eat at Pizza Ranch if I want to go to a buffet.

I used to love this place! New management randomly closes express lunch without notice. Great pizza, but disappointed when I returned from out of state to eat here.

Kids, Valentino's Grand Italian Buffet is what happens when Cici's Pizza tosses back too much tequila and hooks up with Furr's. Good luck getting that visual out of your head. So, back in the 80's when I grew up in the area, Val's was a special occasion place. Buttery crust pizza, thick pasta sauces, a liquor license. I left St. Paul for college at the end of the decade, but Val's pizza buffet was still one of a kind: all you can eat, all pizza and pasta, but the buffet wasn't the only option at this restaurant.Came back for the first time in seven years, the kids wanted to go to Val's, my folks wanted to go to Val's, so yup, we go to Val's.No more waitstaff. You pay at the front counter, get handed your glasses, and chow down.Food was decent. Same buttery crust pizza, but....fried chicken? Chicken nuggets? Nacho bar? Okay, for the price point there's a lot of food here- pizzas, pastas, those yummy garlic breadsticks! But, why ribs and fried chicken? Why nachos? The sign says grande Italian buffet. This wasn't so grande and was only marginally Italian.Decor? Well, the seating near the buffet is definitely themed right, but there's a whole separate dining area tha looks more like Denny's. And, it was packed! So, maybe my standards are too high. Clearly they must be doing something right to be so popular. If you really want the cheesy, butter soft crusty goodness of a Valentino's pizza, it's worth it, but you could always get carry out and avoid the fried chicken and nachos.

If I could give less stars I would. Our pizza was cold, the order was wrong, when they redelivered it was still wrong and the staff was rude when we called again. It's unfortunate as we have done business with Valentinos for over 40 years and we have never been treated that way and so disappointed.

Come for pizza, stay for the fried chicken! The food is fresh, hot and tasty. This is great value for the money. I will come here to eat every time I come back to Grand Island. The bacon cheeseburger pizza is phenomenal. We also had the special pizza and the fried chicken was delicious. The salad bar was a good assortment of vegetables and very fresh. Try the pasta bar and the beer cheese sauce is to die for. Bottom line, save room dessert.
