It's a Post Office, and sometimes these services are necessary. Here, at Omaha's main post office, things are fine but not great. My needs were met - I needed to mail a document, but I didn't have a stamp or even an envelope at hand. So I went and got that taken care of. There was a bit of a wait, as there were only two people working at the counter, and one of them was busy helping people with passports and things like that. One of those customers was irritated (understandably) as she had come in at her appointed time to get a passport. And was informed here that the machine to take the pictures (a camera?) was broken, so she would have to go to Walgreens or somewhere to get one. There is not a Walgreens or anything for miles around here. The customer said that she had specifically come to this particular post office because it is the one that offers this service. As I went outside, I did notice that the banner in front indeed says that that service is offered here. Also outside, I observed a lady walk over to the drive-up mailboxes to put a letter in. I had seen her inside trying to do that. There is a slot to drop letters in inside. But I think it's not labeled clearly; I recall coming outside like that to mail a letter. On this visit, though, since I got the envelope and the stamp, I was able to take care of all this at the counter.

USPS service is getting worse as many experience the delays to their Amazon shipping. I know I have. Maybe I have a lazy letter carrier, but recently I have had to come here to get my packages after I get that dreaded note in my mailbox. Service inside was pleasant and I got to the front quickly.Should you need stampy stamps , insured mail, or even some swag; you can get it here without much hassle

The only post office in Omaha I go to. All I have to say is beware of Lita. Around the start of her shift she's cool, but once it gets past midway of her shift she has major attitude problems. The other workers are all very lovely and so easy to work with!!! Not sure why lita is so unhappy but either way just beware when you work with her, just nod your head and smile lol

Whoa big post office! Lots of parking (street and lot both available) and they were handling the holiday rush well today. I waited 10 mins on a Wednesday morning to mail my box out with only one worker. A+ for December traffic at USPS.

My time with this office is mainly with the drive through post boxes, but I have stopped inside once or twice. Those were a little more busy moments, but they make good efforts to speed things along and keep everyone engaged. I like that they are requesting the customer surveys and really seem to be making progress in repairing relations with their clients.

I have been waiting 3 weeks for a $3.50 credit due. I have made perhaps ten phone calls to our local #...402-341-0800...and was told on 3/25 that my credit was 'being processed'. I phoned yet again on 4/5 & left a message on the department manager's voice mail. Still nothing. The dollar amount isn't the issue...the frustration contacting USPS to seek the credit due to me is outrageous. We are in the same city...USPS could have & should have delivered this legitimate credit w/in a few days. Maureen O'D.
