Customer service much...so I'm trying to send a small package to Omaha. The used cardboard box I bring from home, it's ready to go except for the address label and tape for the top. I ask to send it First Class. The US postal worker replies, "For First Class packages, I am not allowed to tape the box. If you send it Priority then I can tape it for you." As we can both see some tape behind the plexiglass. Well being that I wasn't hiding any packaging tape up my butt just for a moment like this, I then asked to send it Priority. The US postal worker replies, "Okay, then I will have to ask you to step out of line and fill out a Priority label so I may help someone else." Because it takes so much time to write down 2 addresses. I stepped out of line and went to FedEx, spent less than 5 minutes there, total. They taped the box. If USPS must adhere to asinine policies sure, if USPS workers want to be smug I'm out. I tried. The 2 stars is for the line moving at a reasonable pace.

This neighborhood post office provides consistently high quality service.Ample parking. The lobby is clean and well-stocked, and displays are neat and well-stocked. The staff is friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. Lines move quickly. I have used this post office when shipping items for my Etsy business since 2013, and I am completely satisfied with the level of service provided.

First, let me start by saying I am and always have been a huge advocate of the post office. I love sending and receiving mail. I wish more people would utilize the services of the post office so prices could stay lower and jobs could be kept. However, after my experience today, I might have a change of heart. I was sending my wedding invites and didn't know the best way to add postage to them. When I first walked into this location it was empty and a nice lady started helping me only to say, "Oh my shift is ending, you'll have to have someone else help you." Okay, so another lady comes out and starts the whole process over again. This was Stephanie and she seemed nice at first. She started doing math about the type of postage I would need. And after a few minutes we have TONS of different stamps laying out. (I only had 24 items to send, but they were heavy as they have a luggage tag in them for the destination wedding). I asked if there was an easier way to add the postage to them, perhaps a label? Stephanie says, "Well that's not easier", but then starts printing them off. I apologize and tell her I am not trying to make things difficult, just trying to explore the options. By this time she is printing labels, haphazardly putting them on my envelops and then carelessly throwing them into the bin. I wanted to ask her to be more careful, but I was afraid after I left she'd smash them (which hopefully didn't happen). This continued and I could tell she was irritated and I apologized again for making it more difficult and she just ignored me. I left feeling upset to be a paying customer who was treated so poorly and worried that my invites will not be handled with care and will arrive to my guests in pieces. Extremely disappointed in the post office. Maybe people are right, maybe doing everything online is the way to go.
