The location is a little off-putting. Its on the second floor of a VERY sketchy looking motel and you have to walk down a freaky looking hallway to get to the stairs. But once you actually find the place the food is surprisingly good. I had a club sandwich and my husband had a bacon cheeseburger. Both sandwiches were loaded and came with very tasty fries.

The bar is connected to a sketchy looking motel and is accessed down a long, carpeted hallway past a bunch of conference rooms, then up a staircase. At first the bar looked fun. It was spacious, lots of amenities, a deck, etc. But when we ordered a beer we were given a choice between full pints draws or 12 ounce bottles. We opted for bottles, then asked for glasses to pout them in. Our 12 ounce bottles filled the so-called pint glasses to within millimeters of the rim. Busted! :)

The food was surprisingly good. It's in a bad area of a hotel that's attached to it. I'd love to go on a weekend when they have karaoke.

This is by far, my favorite place to spend weekend nights. I haven't ever gotten in early enough to try the food, but it's on my to do list. JR has done a fantastic job of not only restoring the Upper Deck that many of us loved years ago, he's making it even better. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. There is an elevator for wheelchair access. The karaoke is a blast. Come out and sing!

It's 4pm on a Saturday and you're not open? Two weeks before the start of horse racing and you got out-of-town people standing outside your darkened doors saying to me WTF? This is a lame ass bar.

Went there on a Friday night with friends, our friends got there 10 minutes before us and had ordered food. We also wanted to order food but we were told the kitchen was closed even though our friends food had not been served. So we left, probably won't go back since the bartender was rude to us

So this bar is on the second floor of some abandoned place downstairs. The place has cheap booze, two pool tables, darts a smoke patio and karaoke. This is one of the only places in Grand Island that actually has people in it but they don't start coming in until about 10:30. Pretty good selection of music for karaoke but sometimes I feel like I've gone into a time machine and it's 1999 because I hear people singing "This is how we do it" and N-Sync songs.....but given that it IS Grand Island it's pretty cool.....

This place is now called The Roaring Donkey. 5 stars is only for the bartender, Kyle. He makes the best drinks in town. Other than that, the bar is always dead.

I drove to Grand Island from Broken Bow. Thought I'd relaxe at a sports bar, watch the football game and have dinner followed by a few beers.......not a good idea at this place. The place has potential to be a great sports bar but the sevice and food preparation is poor. I witnessed a couple get served and then one of the customers asked that their food be cooked longer......I ordered a ribeye steak (Well Done), hashbrowns and toast. I stressed well done. After 15 minutes my food arrived.....the hashbrowns where well done (Brown) and the steak was still bloody. I asked the waitress to take it back to the kitchen and cook it longer.....she appologized and returned it to the kitchen. 10 minutes later my steak returned....it was still blood red and the rest of the food was cold.......I paid the $18.00 bill and walked out without eating it. This place was a disappointment....would not recommend.
