Ulta Beauty

A relatively new Ulta to this part of town. I have actually found some really great deals and close outs here. I don't prefer to work with a tech, as I am relatively specific about what I'm looking for, but when I do need help with a specific, someone is usually around. They have the same selection as other make up stores, but more sales, so I frequent here more.

This Ulta off of Maple Avenue is a clean store with bright lights with well-stocked items in most aisles. I didn't get much help to find items by staff and ended up finding them on my own. Bathrooms were clean, and the checkout process was uneventful.

I def do not recommend coming for their eyebrow waxing at all. They kept gloating about how they just got a new waxer and how amazing she was, I specially called in to ask if they know how to shape eyebrows.. answer was yes. So I came in, the lady who just got hired was saying how she's licensed for eyebrows and went to schooling and I specially asked her if she knew how to shape eyebrows before we started and she said yes as well. Let's just say she does NOT know how to shape eyebrows at all, she barely knows how to clean up around them unfortunately. I had to go back multiple times to have her clean specific areas around my eyebrows. There was absolutely no shaping. If you're ok with caterpillar eyebrows with semi decent cleaning around them, then this may be your place to go. Just stick to the makeup, hair products, and everything BUT the eyebrow service bar. It's 2024, please hire someone who is up to standards with shaping.

Very rude manager with bright pink hair. I was told by the manager at Papillion location to bring my receipt in for a discount that was supposed to be honored. She told me it's up to manager discretion. Very inconvenient for me to go out of my way to either location. Why wouldn't all Ulta locations do the same if they're managed by same owner.

Website and phone calls to make hair appointments do not state different levels of stylists- and different costs associated. My teenage son went in for a trim and was charged $72 - he called to make an appointment and was not told the appointment was with an "elite" stylist and was not told of higher costs. I called to try to understand the pricing and why he was charged so much, the person on the phone was rude and not helpful. I don't mind paying money for a good stylist and good haircut but published pricing and information on pricing being different per the different types of stylists. My son would have never gone to a haircut had we known it would cost $72.
