Ty Smith Tattoos

I found Ty's page on Instagram. He was very responsive when it came to my many many questions about the whole process. It was so worth the drive ( 2 hrs+) to get my tattoos done! He did a fantastic job!! Would highly recommend him for your future tattoos!

I wanted to post a review about a year out from my tattoo to show how awesome it's healed. It was super easy to make an appointment via instagram and my tattoo is absolutely perfect. I love it and will never go anywhere else !

I had a wonderful experience with Ty he's an amazing artist and all his work is pretty amazing and unique!! I was nervous coming in because I haven't gotten a tattoo in years and he helped me find the perfect placement for them. I'm completely in love with all of them and definitely will be coming back from Virginia Beach to get more. The environments vibes were super relaxing and comfortable:) I will definitely be recommending friends and family to take a trip to get some tattoo's from him !!

My sister and I had an appointment to see Ty today! Both of us got small quotes on different areas. His studio is very welcoming and clean. The experience is unmatched compared to other studios I have been too. He was very efficient in getting both of our tattoos done. Definitely recommend Ty and I will be coming back.

This place is a joke!! Quoted a price and was charged almost double quoted price. Hasn't even been a week and tattoo is almost COMPLETELY faded. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

It's taken me a while to want to make this review because I don't like to make poor reviews but even after a couple of years it still lingers. Probably because i have to look at a subpar tattoo job. My mom, sisters and I drove from out of town and made a weekend in Lincoln around us getting tattoos. I had been in communication with Tyler a couple months prior. I had told him that there would be 6 of us getting matching tattoos. We talked a couple weeks before confirming that we were coming and that he would still have time to do all of us. He said it would be fine and that each of us would take about 20 mins or so. When we walked in to his shop his face was shocked and asked if we were all getting tattoos. I was disappointed and a little embarrassed. I had encouraged my family to come to him but then feel like he wasn't prepared for us. He said he would have time. I even said to him, "if you don't have time we are fine with not getting it since these are permanent decisions." He said it would be no problem. As we were getting tattooed more people showed up and he even had to ask someone to come back another day. Then later that night we started noticing different spots missing on different pieces. We messaged to see if we could come back and get them fixed but he said he was busy with a personal event. Understand but I feel like if he hadn't rushed through us it wouldn't have been any trouble. He claimed it was because he is human and makes mistakes. I get it. then I was so sad to see that my tattoo was DEFINITELY not a fine line piece as it seemed he had to rush through it. Absolutely heartbreaking. I just wish he would have admitted that he did not have time for all 6 of us.

Worst tattoo experience ever. He was arrogant, unprofessional, and rushed. He didn't want to move a stencil, argued with me about the design, and has quite an ego. If I hadn't been so uncomfortable I would have left without a tattoo. I read the other negative reviews and ignored them-- ladies, do yourself a favor and see a tattoo artist in omaha.

it was a really easy process besides the tattoo starting to fade after two weeks but it was very quick and a good price

Ty is the best artist I've been too! He is fast and VERY good at what he does. I'm in love with my tattoos he did for me, and he did what I asked him to & was always down for what I wanted which I love! Lines are clean, crisp and perfect!! Also: he was very quick to respond to all my messages! Make an appointment with Ty NOW!

Made an appointment with Ty through Instagram which is his preferred method of communication. Was planning for matching tattoos with two of my sisters. Discussed what design I wanted, how big, placement all of that. Made the appointment. Talked back and forth several times up until the appointment about design. Because we were coming in from out of town we decided to make a whole day of it and hung out in Haymarket. Messaged him the day of to say how excited we were to be tattooed today and let him know we were near the shop all morning if he wanted to get started earlier. We ended up coming in at our original appointment time and actually had to wait a few minutes past because he wasn't there and his doors were locked. Once we got back into the room he started talking in circles about how he does things different then most tattoo shops and wouldn't be tattooing any of us today. Needless to say we were disappointed from the get go but we listened to him talk about his process. He proceeded to tell us that what we would need to do is go home and google pencil drawings of each flower we wanted and send that to him so he could then resize and put them all together. I asked where his own artistic input came in and he said he would be adding shading. It makes me wonder if he has any artistic abilities at all or if he just copies clip art and line drawings from other artists. He told us it would take several sittings as he only tattoos for one hour per sitting. He contradicted himself many times through out the "consultation". We left knowing there was no way we were coming back and reading other reviews it seems we really dodged a bullet anyway. Also he claims to be the only fine line artist in the Midwest which is 100% false. Would not recommend the shop to anyone. Complete waste of everyone's time.
