I had a a very stressful week when my car broke down and tail it to several places to get an estimate I called the Tuffy and told them the situation and they told me to bring my car in and did a free estimate for me that took an hour and a half which is a great time compared to some other placesThey diagnose the problem and told me the estimate I had them call me at times when I was asleep, and I called a couple times out of just sheer panic, a little bit more than I should've I know lolBrendan was the one that helped me and not only was he patient and kind the whole time, he was also honestThey told me instead of where they thought maybe oil was leaking, ran a diagnostic to see how it was leaking, and fixed it correctlyThey also filled up my windshield fluid without me asking because I was outI know it's like a six dollar fee but I really appreciated that I will definitely be going back to them in the future

So, my car broke down, and it looked like it was going to be a fuel pump. I had it towed to tuffys. I told them what I believe to be the problem. They called me and said it was going to be 1400$. I thought that was a bit high, but oh well. They then said they were going to save me almost 1000$ and it wasn't the fuel pump. It was a drive belt.I was elated to save $$$$. Go get the car and it originally won't start. What!??! We got it going and it lasted a week, then same old story as before. I called them and they said that they didn't fix the problem but the drive belt that they fixed was a maintenance issue! They would be happy to tow in my car and fix the fuel pump but they has the 1400$ estimate and they were sticking to that price! Crooks! I will never be back!

The customer service here was atrocious. The manager behind the counter was extremely uninterested in helping me, he made it seem like I was putting him out just by talking. It felt like pulling teeth just to get an answer out of him. I did end up getting an oil change after a bit so, that's good. The guy that changed the oil in my car was nice, fast, and courteous so this is definitely not negative due to him. While waiting for my oil change, I noticed a sign that said you get a free set of wipers with certain tiers of an oil change. I got one of those tiers, so I asked about them and he proceeded to tell me that those wipers don't fit my car because I have special wipers. I drive a Ford Fusion and I'm pretty sure 99% of wipers are universal. The funniest part was after he told me they wouldn't fit, he tried to sell them to me anyways. Tired of talking to someone so uninterested in talking back and getting absolutely nowhere, I gave up, paid, then left. That was my first visit to Tuffy and my last.Maybe other locations are better but, I'll take my business elsewhere from now on.

I should've trusted my initial reaction when I walked into this place. I was greeted with "what do you want" from the lovely gent manning the desk. I think he was trying to be funny, but I was NOT impressed and not in the mood. During my visit (which took 4 hours), this guy slammed the phone down on the counter multiple times after calls and had pretty atrocious phone manners overall. What I saw was a definite turnoff and if they had not started working on my car already, I would have left. Once I explained what I was bringing our car in for, things improved. I got an oil change, new air filters, wheel alignment and new tires (all of which were needed--they didn't have to talk me into upcharges because we legit needed these things done). Pricing was fair. If you don't mind crappy attitudes from staff or can leave the car, this place has decent prices. If you want good, polite service, go elsewhere.

I went in cause of a coupon ($17.99 early bird special) for an oil change. During their once over at first they found I needed an air filter change. They told me it would be $20. I agreed. I understand about the labor charge but my bill still shouldn't have been $87.??+. What a rip off!

Tuffys is great!! At sucking lmao I've used the West O location for an issue that was never resolved after taking it in twice. No refunds or anything. Today, I noticed a 50 % off oil changes. I gave them at call 30 mins before close, and Tony told me to "pull in." Less than 5 minutes later, I pull into the bay a whopping 2 feet and get my ass chewed by Eric. I was literally in disbelief. I was told to literally pull in and then get ripped out for doing so??? Wtf is up with these guys. I see why every tuffys is so lowly rated and why they offer massive discounts on services

Stay far away!!!Had a coupon for full synthetic oil change $49.99. Total oil change cost me $75. $8 for extra qt of oil. $4 for the filter (usually included most places), $23 labor (not included in the oil change?) My last oil change at wal mart cost $44. They charged $3.72 for a qt of oil. Manager showed me my very dirty air and cabin filters so they were changed. Cabin filter was $28. They cost $9.85 at auto parts store and take 5 minutes to install. Air filter was $24 Now I wonder if they were filters from my car or filters he keeps behind the desk to show each customer.Told me I have a strut leaking. Estimate to replace both front struts and the link arms and do an alignment would cost $1359. My local mechanic will do it all for $650.

I had an appointment, yet my oil change took two and a half hours while I waited. Ridiculous. There was no communication or apology. I had to ask why it was taking so long, and was told their computer had the wrong oil filter listed. Not impressed. Will not go back.

It seems as though my issue has been dismissed... I want something to be done about this. Tuffy is the only place I've taken my car besides the dealership since 2012. My car was fine before I took it in to get my oil pan gasket changed.I want to be compensated. I shouldn't have to pay someone over $3000 to fix something that a mechanic did while changing my gasket. District Manager, Robert Nagie, called me on May 11th, stating that he wanted the phone number to Baxter, where I bought the car and had it serviced under warranty for 5 years. He said that he wanted to obtain a copy of the invoice from May of 2016, where they had replaced my oil pan gasket. He wanted to investigate if there were any notes on the invoice. I looked, and there were none. I told him that, but he still insisted that he'd call them anyway. He said he wanted to make things right with me, but wanted to check with them first. He said he would get back to me. On June 1st he called and said that Baxter wouldn't give him a copy of the invoice. He said he spoke with Chris. He said Chris agreed with him on some stuff I just can't re-explain... he was not clear. Something about the direction of the threads... He offered that Tuffy would pay 1/2 the repairs. He also went on about how if this was something I would accept for compensation, once the engine was dismantled, and the find ANY factory flaws, ie., a cracked engine, Tuffy would not pay anything. I told him that I was uncomfortable with this. I explained, that if Tuffy did the repairs to the stripped bolts, what's to say they just decide to say that the engine was cracked. How would I know the difference? Also, why would I pay 1/2 of the marked up pricing if they are doing the work. Shouldn't I just have to pay 1/2 of what they paid their mechanic... which I know isn't $3000. There are no cost of any parts except the bolts themselves, otherwise, it's just labor. He was trying to rush me into okaying his offer. I did not. He wanted to get off the phone, so he told me to thinik about it and let him know. Again, he stated that he wanted to make things right. I decided to call Chris at Baxter. Robert had no idea that I knew Chris from Baxter personally. Chris told me to bring my car down, and he'd take a look at it. Chris also told me that he did NOT agree with anything Robert had said. Robert lied to me. On June 3rd, Robert sent me a text, wondering if I had made a decision or not. I replied back at that I was going to need something in writing about what Tuffy is offering and to please explain his reasoning for wanting me to pay half. I told him I didn't understand what he was explaining about the threads. In that text, I gave him my email address and asked him to please send it there. On June 4th I sent him a text because he failed to respond to my need to have it in writing. He respond back saying "what email, You were supposed to let me know what we are doing". So I resent the entire message. He responds back asking me to give him my email address. So I took a screenshot of what I had initially sent, and circled my email address for him. That evening, I sent his a text stating that I had not received an email from him. He did not respond back. On June 5th I decided to just type out my email address by itself and send it to him. I waited 2 days and still no email from him. I tried to contact him on June 8th asking when I can expect the email. Then on June 9th, I tried contacting him again. He is now non-responsive. And I never did get anything in writing. I guess the next step is to just institute legal proceedings against Tuffy. I have everything documented and 2 mechanic shop managers/owners to back me up. Over all of this, I've accrued costs of getting my second opinion and a third. My entire driveway will need to be replaced because of the oil spots.
