Cool day trip, however, read the full thing. I had heard this was a cool day activity and had wanted to do it for over two years. John took me for my birthday in the middle of the week. He planned everything and was in contact with Brock, the owner who was super responsive and helpful. He sends out emails with information, packing list and makes sure the weather is good for tubing. When we got there, btw place is easy to find using his address, we signed a waiver and were loaded on a school bus. We were dropped off at a river crossing location and our tubes were attached as well as a tube for our cooler, we were given a paddle and that was all. We were on our own for this 4 h adventure down the river. I should pause to say most people that do this have a different plan and they usually have a big party with a big group and loud noise water guns etc. Our plan was a little different, more of enjoying the river and the scenery. The river itself is dark since the bottom is muddy so no clear waters, but it's clean, there are some tree branches here and there, but no trash itself. There are sandbars along the way where you can stop. The trip usually lasts about 4 hours which is significantly more than what I would've been on the tube if I would have had the choice. We applied sunscreen repeatedly and we still were pretty tan by the end of the ride. Bottom line: well organized and good idea, it gets 4 stars because the river is not the prettiest and the ride is too long (for my taste) maybe offering a half ride from like the bridge on Center might be a good idea. Oh, I almost forgot, bonus points: we saw our first bald eagle!!

LOVED THIS PLACE. Family owned and operated, Brock and his brother are kind, hospitable, friendly, excellent communicators, and great stewards of the land they operate on. I emailed Brock well in advance, and even though at the time no one else was signed up to float on the weekday we were available, he graciously agreed to open shop for us that day. That is no small act of customer service from a small business owner! :) We arrived early and Brock's brother (can't remember his name- so sorry!) offered to give us a tour of the land. It was lovely- well kept, lots of areas to play lawn games or relax, camping spots for those who'd like an overnight trip, and stories of the land owners around them (one guy across the river raises hundreds of goats!). The river was great- lots of sandbanks for snack breaks (if you wish to prolong your day), areas to stop and swim, and a nice mix of private homes and preserved natural spaces which make for a pleasant scenic experience. For the record: #zombietwinkie (you'll know once you go!)

T&A was so unbelievably flexible with my group. There was a lot of confusion with a group that offered discounted prices, we showed up accidentally to the wrong company and got treated like we had originally booked with T&A. I feel pretty silly for booking with a different company but could not recommend T&A enough for being more professional and understanding through the entire misunderstanding. Highly recommend their company to anyone interested in a river tube that is having a large group of people hanging on the river for a relaxing and fun group event!

Growing up near the ocean, the whole idea of laying in a tube while drifting down a muddy river never entered the realm of "how I want to spend my Saturday." But now, fully embracing my Midwest persona, this particular activity seemed like the thing to do. We called a few weeks in advance, but our one open Saturday was already booked. Thankfully, Brock, the owner, keeps a waiting list. So lo and behold, we get an email five days prior to our desired Saturday asking if we're still in. Of course! For a mere $20 per person, T&A provides the bus transport to the start location (you end at the beach by the parking lot) and your people tubes and a tube for your cooler (additional cooler tubes $10 each). A host of young, summer staff help you load your configuration of tubes in the water, assist you with (not daintily) getting into your tube and drag you back onto shore 4-6 hours later. What I appreciate: Clear driving directions to the parking lot; organized parking and bus loading; assistance at the start and at the end (or in the middle, if you need to call for a rescue); affordable pricing; ending at the parking lot; trash bags for your debris; friendly but respectful attitude (e.g. don't leave your trash in the river). What I wish they had: More bungee cords to make different configurations of tubes and an ice machine at the parking lot (based on overheard comments of folks wishing they had more ice - they could make a killing on ice alone). If you're into coasting down the river with your butt hanging in the water and your legs getting sunburned with a beer in hand, then you should definitely give T&A a go. If, however, you're into pregaming on vodka drinks and passing out for four hours on your tube while getting 3rd degree burns from the sun, you may want to rethink this adventure, your life choices and your selection of friends.

We have floated many times with them in the past. This year they moved it from off of maple to 252nd and harrison. It was a great move. They have lots of campsites directly on the Elkhorn river. We camped friday night, floated down the Elkhorn river saturday morning, and camped again saturday night for $35 a person. Beautiful scenery all around, the staff is wonderful, and u can't find a better get away for the money. I'm sitting by a campfire (they provided the wood) gazing at the stars, 20ft from the river, with full 4G signal as I type this. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

Two places by the same name? Or listing needs to be updated. The one I'm at is located at 255th and Harrison. Here for a company outing for employees and their families. Very far out of the way down a gravel road. But pretty, rustic setting. Airboats, tubing, ample parking, lots of wooded and open areas for setting up games and such.

This was a great afternoon tubing down a peaceful river. We're from the East Coast and the tubing is much better here. Brock is very responsive and patient and takes time to answer every question you ask him. This business got hit hard by the flooding so it would be great if people could patronize them.
