I visited my first estate sale run by this company on a Saturday, I was out on a walk, and did not have any money on hand. I came back on Sunday (half price day) there was a line of about 30 people ahead of me, as they limited the number of people in the house. Everything was well organized, but definitely over priced on Saturday. I felt they were understaffed to check people out on Sunday. I'm not sure how they operate but on Sunday there was still a lot of stuff left to sell. I'm thinking if they had better prices on Saturday, they would've moved more merchandise. So then what do they do with the remaining merchandise move it onto the next house?

I have been to 4 Estate sales by this company. The first one we were rudely told not asked to remove our shoes. The second we were made to leave our purses and when I went to retrieve mine they couldn't find it and said "do you know how many black purses are back here?" Without giving me a chance to describe it. The third time we waited outside even when people came out we still were made to wait. Today a hand was raised in my friends face and the door was locked on her even though 4 people had exited. I paid for the 2 things I bought and was accused of not paying for my items even though I just had 5 minutes before. I will NEVER go to one of their sales again. There were others in line that have had similar experiences as ours. Very poor customer service.

This company is run by the rudest woman I've met so far. At one sale, she insisted my friend and I had to leave our purses at the checkout table, then Couldn't find them for 10 minutes. At the last sale, she shoved her hand in my face and barked "limited entry". Then locked (!) the door. We waited while 6 people left and we're finally allowed in. There were numerous signs stating "50$ and under half price" period. I was going to buy a ring, and was told that doesn't include rings. I still was going to purchase and was told "checks and cash are free but there's a fee to use cards". I'm not going to pay for a company to do business so I said forget it. We headed for the door and she had the nerve to bark at my friend, who had purchased a plastic cereal storage container and a coffee mug, "did you pay for those"? Twice. We will never go to one of Transition's sales again.

Went to an estate sale on Friday, and the same one on Sunday. Both days there was a sign in the basement (where all of the clothes were) stating the prices of clothes "unless marked otherwise" (most of the clothes did not have tags) and on Sunday we were told (at checkout) the sign was wrong and not to by those prices. So on Sunday (half price day) instead of paying $2.50 for a $5 sweater we where charged $5 for a $10 sweater.... bear in mind we had bought some of these same clothes on Friday for the signed price of $5 but apparently because it is discount day they want to up the price on items so they can still get the original sign price. Would not recommend this estate sale company as it is not trustworthy. If the sign was inaccurate as they say they knew before the sales started (on wednesday) they should have taken them down and stated the actual prices of the clothes. Very frustrated with how it was handled in a "put them back if you don't like our prices up here" sort of way. Again would NOT recommend, there are other more trustworthy estatessale companies in omaha.

This review is in response to the review written on 4/22/2018. The above review by Kelli M. pertains to a sale by the previous owner of Transitions Estate Sales. The new owner for several years, Jinette, has several rave reviews by her clients and we are particularly happy to report that she has prepared a large sale for my husband's parents in Omaha. As soon as the restrictions for the virus are lifted, we will have a marvelous sale and are most grateful for all her efforts.Susan M.
