There is a difference between sales people and true artists. The products provided by Tradition Ecclesiastical Tailoring are more like fine additions to one's artistic collection than they are of off the peg suits or draperies. I have patronized Juan for several years now and have purchased four albs, a cotta, two birettas, a summer saturno hat, two silk fascia cinctures, and six coloured cinctures. In every case, Juan's professionalism and knowledge made the transaction a smooth and extremely pleasant one. I mostly highly recommend Juan, and Tradition Tailoring, for all your ecclesiastical haberdashery needs!

A parishioner paid them a down payment for new vestments for our parish. After months of being told the new vestments were being worked on, eventually it came out that Juan Navarrete (the owner) had never been working on them the whole time! He has now ignored multiple attempts by the donor and one of our priests to obtain a refund.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The company is STILL taking people's/churches' money and not delivery items! He also owns a train company called K Rail Hobbies, LLC. DO NOT SUPPORT!!!

FALSE ADVERTSING AND OVERPRICEDTheir website advertises hand-made streling silver chalices. Further investigation shows that they merely resell off the shelf catalogue items from other companies with a very high mark up. here are two examples:TET model 600- sells for $5,500It is the exact same one, even the model number and picture, from ovunqueproteggimi.com, who has it for 3.820Euro ($4,300), almost a 30% mark up!!TET model 617 which they sell for $3,793Is avalilable at russoraffaele.it for 2.106Euro ($2,400), that is a whopping 58% mark up!!!!Furthermore, they advertise this chalice as hand made sterling silver, when the manufacturer states that ONLY THE CUP is silver, the chalice itself is made of CAST BRASS, which is nither SILVER NOR HAND MADE.Sadly, it seems that many older priests or sister who are not internet saavy enough to find this out will fall for this scam.SHAME ON YOU!

I had an exceptional experience with Tradition. I was cautious at first due to prior negative reviews. I emailed Tradition and I spoke to Juan. He assured me of a smooth transaction. I placed my order with him. Customer service was excellent at all stages of the transaction. I needed the chalice by a given date and it arrived ahead of schedule. The chalice is amazingly beautiful, and even better than the photos. Juan was readily available throughout and he was extremely accommodating on my payment. I highly recommend tradition and will continue to purchase items from him in the future.

In February of this year, I ordered a custom tailored cassock from Mr. J. Navarrete of Tradition Ecclesiastical Tailoring (I believe that he is the sole proprietor and only "employee" of this company). The cassock was delivered to me during the week of May 28th (over 6 weeks late) and I immediately noted that the item was improperly tailored (wrong number of buttons, incorrect sleeve attachment to the body of garment, unfinished seams, etc.) upon inspection. I immediately contacted Mr. Navarrete about the problems with the garment, and he responded indicating that I may return the item and receive a full refund. I returned the cassock to Mr. Navarrete's business address as instructed and I have documented proof in the form of signed delivery confirmation from USPS indicating that J. Navarrete accepted my return on June 20, 2012. Since this date, Mr. Navarrete has failed to issue me any refund as promised and has completely cut off any and all communication with me. My multiple emails and calls to Mr. Navarrete have gone unanswered. A post that I left on Tradition's Facebook page requesting that Mr. Navarrete contact me was deleted in short order, indicating to me that Mr. Navarrete is aware of this issue. Based upon their website and Facebook page, the company appears to remain open and transacting new business. At this point, Mr. Navarrete's company is in possession of both the product that I ordered as well as my money, thus leading me to believe that Mr. Navarrete has attempted to defraud me of the refund to which I am entitled.
