Toys From the Past

If you're searching for toys from your childhood, look no further! I'm pretty sure they have all my toys, from my Barbies to my Greyskull Castle. There is character in the displays everywhere you look, the staff is super friendly and love to chat you up about... TOYS! Whether you are looking to browse, buy, or sell, this store is an adventure you won't want to miss.

The stars are for the deep and broad inventory of collectibles; that is pretty impressive. I would NOT sell them anything. My experience with them was a few years ago. I was selling about a dozen key comics, among them first appearance Wolverine, Punisher, etc. I had already an idea of value from following a number of eBay auctions. What I was offered I felt was low, the store manager had another individual call me with only a slightly higher offer. They cited overhead expenses as one reason for the low offer - whatever. Bottomline I sold everything on eBay for easily double what I was offered. Seller beware.

This review is for the location on 70th street. I will not be shopping here anymore. Went in to buy pokemon cards happily, super excited too buy some stuff for my collection. The whole time I was in the store the worker gave me weird vibes, stood over me while I was looking at the cards. Backtalked me countless times. I asked him if they were TCG prices. He said yes. I went to check prices on my phone and he grabbed the cards away from me, didnt even get too look at the cards and there condition. I still bought, but from now on I will not be buying from the 70th location. Was not the kind of business I would want too support, toys are suppose too be fun.

Can't say enough about Hayden at "Toys From The Past" for printing 6 sweatshirts for me in one day. I called several other places who weren't interested in such a small job...I then heard about Toys From The Past, stopped in and talked with Hayden. He was friendly, had ideas and was able to get them done in one day.....and they look AWESOME!!! Highly recommend Hayden and Toys From The Past for your hard to find Toys, collections and of course screen printing!

A fun walk down memory lane. Lots of different toys for all tastes- including Barbies, Care Bears, and Rainbow Brite which I loved as a child.

I went in to sell some comic books. I understand it was me that agreed to sell the comics. After I agreed to sell them, I was driving home, less than 15 minutes away. I called the store up and said I had changed my mind. The gentleman I worked with said it was ok to make the exchange I was even told he would offer more money, but I said no thank you. I turned around and was driving back and received a call from the store. He stated that he was not going to be able to make the exchange. He said Mike Bretta would not allow the exchange. I asked if this was a company policy and was told it was not, but that is what he was told. I asked if this has been done before and how long has he worked there. He has been there for over a year and it has happened before. He said only Mike was able to allow that exchange. He provided me the number to Mike. When I called Mike, he said he didn't have to sell them and he didn't have anything in writing, but it was his right to not make the exchange. He compared his establishment to a Pawn shop and stated he had worked in a Pawn shop, so he knew the states rules. He made it very clear that nothing I said was going to change his mind. He stated he had already called a guy to come in tonight to board the comics, so I was out of luck. I decided to end the call at that point. Staff was nice, but it was very clear there is no consistency in protocol. I have shopped her in the past, but I unfortunately will not be back!
