I can only review for their boarding capabilities. This was my first time boarding out herd (3 dogs) and will admit I was quite nervous. From the beginning they responded to all of my questions very quickly. The facility was nice with clean beds, towels, bowls, and kennels. I opted to leave their food which they were ok with. They sent pictures daily and gave me updates daily (sometimes more when I asked questions). I thought their price was very reasonable for 3 dogs and was happy to see they offered a military discount. I will definitely recommend and use the facility for boarding again. I added photos of my pups to make you smile

This is not an easy place to find, especially with all the major road closures on the backcountry side of Papillion. Once you find this place, it is very secluded and the barks from all their residents won't bother any neighbors. It appears ranch-like when you drive in. It is by appointment only since it appears nearly all staffers are volunteers. I looked at a surrender pet and liked this 1 year old Chow mix. I am still deciding if I am ready to relinquish my thoughts of Rex who passed away 1 year ago. I am a firm believer of looking at rescues first for the next companion. Take a good look at their webpage. Their philosophy and policies are directed towards finding the best fit for their dogs.

And the sad thing is I even stay home all day. They even asked that on the application. So it would not have been in the create that much like they are at the Humane Society. And they want to know why people don't adopt they shop instead because you people do more rejection to ridiculous things or what I call excuses. And that is why like Tully's Kennel is still around and puppy mills! Sad! But people turn to them when that get rejected by you or others like you!

Town & Country is a 100% no kill shelter that also does boarding. My parents got their current dog from T&C and everyone there was great to work with. These people really care about the animals.

Employees and volunteers there care deeply about the animals. They have saved so many lives. I love that they take back animals they have adopted out, no matter what, no matter how long ago. They are there for follow up questions amd concerns. They are committed to finding great homes and committed to the animals for their whole life. I adopted three cats from them. I love their mission

Great place for boarding my dogs. They are happy and healthy when I pick them up and the shelter was nice enough to send me photos of them in the play yard. Also, it's nice to support a non profit when boarding your pets!

I am happy to say we adopted a sweet little manx kitty today. He is adjusting at home but we're happy to have him as part of our family. The adoption process at Town & Country was wonderful! We signed paperwork, were given a goodie bag (with toys, food he likes, blanket and bed with his scent, etc) and then took a photo with him. It was a nice process to help ease him into the transition. Again, the caring and compassion from the staff at Town & Country is amazing. They truly wanted to know if we would give the cat a good home and were awesome every step of the way. I would not hesitate to adopt an animal from them again. Well done!

I know of a dog that was adopted from this shelter because the shelter staff thought he would be a good fit for the family. In reality, they had no information if he would be ok around small children. The dog was also not leash trained or completely house trained like they said. When he showed signs of jealousy and incessant jumping and the family realized he was putting their child in danger they asked to bring the dog back to the shelter (they make you sign that you will return the dog only to that shelter if you have to surrender the dog). The staff were extremely rude at this point and basically made the family to feel like they were to blame and that they failed in some way. So, the family decided to keep working with him for several more weeks, just to show a good faith effort. He was actually a very sweet dog, but basically only calm and relaxed when he was getting 100% of the attention. In the end, the dog was not responding to the training they were attempting and they had to take him back. This family absolutely hated to do that and they really struggled with the decision. On the day they returned him, they were already sad but the staff made them to feel even worse when they arrived. The couple tried to give the shelter staff information about the dog that would help him to be placed in a more suitable home, but they didn't even change his profile to include any of that information. Their job is to find these dogs forever homes. They should be as forthcoming as possible and not adding the information provided from a family that has just spent 4 or 5 weeks with the dog is unforgivable!
