Disappointing Experience at Total RespiratoryMy recent experience at Total Respiratory left much to be desired. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment based on their practices and misleading tactics.Furthermore, their auto-renewal policy seemed somewhat shady. it felt like a sneaky way to lock customers into recurring payments. I strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of any automatic renewals with Total Respiratory. Another issue I encountered was their tendency to push unnecessary purchases and supplies onto unsuspecting customers. It felt as though they were more focused on making a sale rather than genuinely addressing my needs. This kind of aggressive upselling and unnecessary spending is not what I expect from a reputable establishment.

When I was diagnosed with sleep apnea I requested the Doctor send my prescription here. I had used them years ago and my ex-husband still uses them... he has had some issues but they were all handled immediately . Unfortunately, my experience with them has been negative. When I picked up my unit I was not given all the info I needed to be successful, including and especially that I needed 4 hours of use for 21 days in a row per my insurance. I have insomnia and had recently had major surgery with a projected recovery of 12 months. I was not sleeping many nights in a row, and 4 hours at a time was rare. More I hated the mask they started me with.When the young lady from the company called to tell me I was failing in my tasks I was surprised to learn the machine was allowing them to directly monitor me. I told her 1. I was not informed they could and would directly monitor me. 2. I was not informed that I had the above mentioned requirements. 3. The mask I was using was miserable. She told me I was within the 30 day mask exchange. (Something else I had not been informed about.) she assured me she would forward my need to another person who would arrange the mask exchange. Though I have heard back from her and she reported she had made 2 requests for a mask for me, nothing was ever done. So I ordered my own from Amazon.My last call with Total Respiratory I told her I would not be using them for supplies, that I wanted to know how to disconnect from their ability to monitor me.(This was never answered.) I had acquired a new mask on my own and I would rate them the rating they deserved every chance I got. I have not heard back and have no idea if I have met my goals. I guess I will have to contact my insurance company for that information.I will add the young woman I spoke with did express concern and apologized for the experience I was having, but fixed nothing.

I had to get a home sleep test thru here. They were very friendly, responsive and easy to work with. I picked up the kit and they went thru everything with me and got me on my way. I then dropped it off the next day in the mail slot before they opened which was very convenient for me.

To begin, i will say the Jennifer Carnell, is the one bright spot! She was beyond helpful and pleasant! The rest of this company was flat out embarrassing. I honestly don't believe I've ever experienced such a lack of honest, integrity, and communication from a healthcare company. They do not disclose the auto care items that they enroll you in. They do not communicate standards, requirements. Then when addressing these issues with their team, they were rude, uncaring, and not helpful. Overall i was double billed multiple times, and was never notified. They stated they could not provide a list of upcoming charges to be expected. Was shipped supplies i never ordered and then was not allowed to return these unused items. I requested several times for a change in the gear i was provided and never received a response. These folks are unprofessional and obviously do not care about their patients. I would recommend using absolutely ANY OTHER company you can find.

I'm going with 1 star. My doctor ordered a sleep study. I thought this location was quite inconvenient from me to start with. The first sleep study came back 'inconclusive' and I was told I'd be charged half as a result. But that I still needed to redo it to be sure. I redid it and did it for an entire weekend (not a pleasant experience btw). Two months later and still no result given to the doctor. When I called I was told they had been unusually busy but would follow up with the doctor. I have no idea if I'm being charged for the second study or what the results were.

Their customer service is terrible because if they cause a problem, all they seem to care about is how to keep the most money while offering you the least benefits. Their quality assurance sucks because we don't ever get the correct stuff and have to ask for the rest. They they come up with excuses why this isn't their problem and do the least to help. The only thing they seem to be very good at is getting paid either by Medicare and their customers even if they don't really make sure that they are doing their jobs correctly. I believe that because their customer service is so bad and they aren't even doing the bare minimum to just be bad that I will be contacting Don Bacon, the Nebraska public counsel, Nebraska DHHS, Medicare, and local state senator to see if anything can be done about them.

I have been doing business with Total Respiratory since I started using my CPap machine. The office staff, billing dept and lady in Supply have always been wonderful to work with. My supply orders are always delivered promptly and accurately. They are always very accommodating and easy to work with. I would recommend Total Respiratory for all your Cpap needs.

If maybe I had worked with Debbie from minute one I would have a better opinion about this company. Unfortunately I had to work with what I am assuming is a brand new RT and the billing manager. No one at any level until I spoke with Debbie who was an executive talked about numbers and how much something costs. I told my RT I wouldn't want anything sent to my insurance as I don't have the best insurance and that I needed to know the price of something. The RT didn't know and told me that and said insurance would take care of it and pushed me out the door. I called in a few weeks later with questions regarding my bill. I was transferred to the billing managers whose name I have forgotten out of anger. After explaining my situation that happened with the RT the billing manager told me that she would write off the cost of the device and I would receive one more bill and I should ignore that bill. A month later I receive a bill with a late fee on it. I call to inquire about this most recent bill as it was last left off with me that I would not be receiving anything other than 1 additional bill that I could ignore. So I was transferred back to the billing manager again to deal with this issue. She fabricated notes in their system about the situation. About what she said. About what I said. I explained this to her. She proceed to yell at and over me constantly throughout this phone call. Told me I went to Total Respiratory to steal things and that I do that at other places. I remained calm on the phone the whole time as I have a coworker sitting right by me can attest and work phones with recordings that can attest to this fact. I then had things escalated to Debbie who was an executive of some kind. She finally explained everything in a calm and reasonable manner. She did say she would talk to her employee the billing manager who accused me of being a thief but who knows if they will actually do anything about the situation. Overall not pleased with my interactions with the staff at this place. If you have sleep apnea and you are looking for clear honest information and discussion I would look elsewhere.
