Have had Anita twice now! Both times the wait staff were very kind! The street tacos are perfect! Super yummy and filled with steak! Enjoyed the carne asada, the shrimp were in split shells, which made them less enjoyable to eat but that is my only complaint! Will go and and would recommend!

Came here for some good Mexican food based on Yelp reviews and overall it was pretty decent, but didn't quite hit all the marks for me. Pupusas (pork and queso) - 4/5 It was favorful, but it was pretty greasy. Queso and the pork are on pointCamarones a la Mexicana - 3/5Shrimp plate with rice, beans, and salad, which was a bit too salty. Portion was massive, so I was only able to finish half the plate during my sitting. The shrimp was overcooked and whatever way they filleted the shrimp in the beginning made it messy and difficult to peel the shell off. Overall flavor though was pretty decent and could have been better if it wasn't so salty. If I could give the place 3.5 I would since it's better than 3, but not quite a 4 for me.

Came for lunch during the week and only a few other tables were there, which I don't understand why after eating there. We ordered two pupusas and two tacos for two people; cost was less than $15 and we left food behind. The complimentary chips and tangy salsa were tasty too. Server was nice, food was fast, and it was a great value.

We were in Fremont and wanted some tasty mexican food. Found Anita's on yelp and decided to give it a try. Walked in and inside was large with 2 dining rooms. We were greeted and seated immediately. Service was super friendly and attentive. Service was 5 star and food was 3 stars. Large portions We were served complimentary chips and salsas. Chips were on the thicker side and the avocado type salsa was our favorite. The red salsa they served had a good amount of kick to it! We ordered 2 orders of enchiladas, one with green sauce and one with red sauce. A pork and cheese pupusas and an order of chicken tortilla soup. Enchiladas $13.99 3 enchildas per serving were tasty, but wish they were a bit warmer. Cheese wasn't as ooey and gooey as we like. Chicken tortilla soup $ 5.99 was cream based, and we never asked, so it wasn't to our preference. We like more broth based soup. The pupusas $3.50 were the star!! They were warm and crispy and loved the filling. I would definitely order a plate full of these next time.

Service was quick. Ambiance is basic but the food was amazing. We had the chicken flautas and enchiladas. Portions were huge and some of the best I've had in the Midwest.

Spent the late afternoon in Fremont and was on the hunt for a restaurant. Everyone in the car was hungry for Mexican and we found Tortilleria Anita Y Taqueria. The inside is nothing special but the wait staff is friendly. We all ordered. Free chips and salsa. The salsa was green and very tasty. I eat keto so there were not many choices but had the t bone steak. The veggies were good and the guacamole was excellent. Overall the food was good and I would definitely return.

This place is certainly a great find in Fremont! We found Anita's because we were looking for a sit down place to eat after a swim meet. Mexican sounded great, so we decided to try this place! I almost drove past it because it doesn't look like much from the outside. On the inside, Anita's is pretty big and can hold a lot of people! We ordered some chips and guacamole, enchiladas, quesadillas and chicken tacos. All of the food was so delicious! We were so happy to have found this place!

Wow. So glad we visited this restaurant. It became an instant favorite. Refreshing, authentic, exceptionally friendly. Don't expect "high end". You are stepping into an exceptionally friendly family run restaurant. We tried combo fajitas, tortilla soup, camarones a la plancha, pupusas, and plantains. Everything was very good and the portion sizes are very generous. The salsas were fresh and tasty. Very happy to find plantains and amazing pupusas. Make sure you get the slaw that comes with the pupusas.

I'm from California and I eat a lot of Mexican food. When we sat down they placed complimentary chips and salsa on the table. The chips were cold and oily. The red salsa was spicy but didn't have a good flavor. I ordered queso dip. It came out ice cold and had NO flavor. I decided that if they can't get chips, salsa and queso right then I didn't want to try anything else. We asked for a check and left.

Food was okay. Chips were cold, I had to ask for them and salsa, the floors still had food on them from previous people who ate there, my silverware was dirty still. When I came in I asked how the young man's day was going and how he was doing and he said nothing. Paid $30 for everything and didn't leave a tip because I have seen cleaner less greasy authentic Mexican food. The server looked more annoyed and didn't hardly talk to me at all.
