Been a while since we last here. Breakfast today enroute to Albion br. Sharing a plate of pancakes, eggs, and sausage. Request for dark pancakes. I like burnt black/brown. Is excellent.

Food Service Ambiance I would have rather gone to Mcds The coffee tasted like boiled muddy water... I guess most people wouldn't notice since most dump packs of heave cream and spoonfuls of sugar but I take my coffee black. My waitress seemed afraid of talking to me and the interaction was dry and extremely short. Is not like she was busy with many tables but ok. I had an omelette with ham and sausage, no cheese. A side of pancakes with banana and wiped cream. The omelette was sad, the sausage barely looked cooked and more like precooked and microwaved maybe. Pancakes seemed microwaved also or maybe just made in huge batches and just sit waiting for orders. Pancakes were barely warm and just tasted like cardboard. One thing I did appreciate was a young man was going around and making sure things behind the counter were being wiped, he would put things away when others wouldn't and just went around tidying things behind the service counter. I got the impression he may have been new and trying to stay busy. Good on him !!

Stopped by here passing through the city and would recommend! The staff was super friendly & got us seated right away. I love the toast and the bacon. They gave us great serving of syrup which was perfect since we love our pancakes drenched. Super cheap also! $18 to two people - two full meals. A classic diner and would go back if in town!

Everything here was... fine. Under seasoned food, but at least it wasn't bad. Servers were fine, and definitely has a small town diner feel. But I wish the food tasted better.

Traveled from Fremont. Planned on eating there all week. Was recommended by a former resident. Website said they were open. They were closed. Man outside said he eats there a lot when open. He said they just close when ever . Not a good way to run a business. So he suggested Lees . About 3 miles away . Food was reasonable price , service excellent and server terrific

Amazing!! A quaint but modern dinner. Comfortable and clean. Tables and booths available. We were told to sit anywhere and Tommy the owner, greeted us and brought our waters and menus immediately. Booths were good sized too. Didn't feel pinned in. Food was Amazing! We had the pork loin and a 3 piece fried chicken dinner. The pork loin was tender and juice with a nice seasoning. The fried chicken was perfect. Lightly breaded, very juicy and flavorful. The breading was excellent. Usually I'm picking it off because it's too much or over done but not here. I was looking for more little crunchy bits. They were out of baked potatoes but the mashed tasted from scratch and the country gravy was excellent. Definitely a must see. You know it's great when the locals eat there too!

Went to Tommy's three times while attending Fire School in Grand Island. It's a very good midwest family style restaurant. It retains it's 1960's look. I had Meatloaf, Hot Roast Beef sandwich and chicken fried steak. It doesn't get any more midwestern than that. The food was under seasoned but still delicious. They serve breakfast all day. I enjoyed every meal. I recommend this restaurant for everyone. Our server was a hoot. I wish I could remember his name. Be sure to check out the Pie.

One of the things I love to do when traveling is find fun, local places to eat. This diner was a 5+ stars experience! The environment (filled with locals), the food (I had breakfast for dinner and it was delicious), and even the 70-80s soft rock playing in the background was delightful.Often it's the simplest things in life that are the most enjoyable. Went and ate here at 6:00 on Jan 5th. Hair in my food and charged me for my meal anyways. Tommy was there and said since I ate the second dish they brought out they would have to charge me.
