Toad Hollar Bar & Grill

I loved the open faced beef sandwich. The bread seemed like homemade bread. The beef was tender, juicy and delicious. I could cut it was a fork; no knife required. The potatoes were actually real. The gravy was good. I'd get the full portion next time, but then I'd be miserable. But what a sweet misery it would be. Service was ok. They were super busy.

Really nice folks and the food was FABULOUS. Had a grilled pirk tenderloin with a special sauce, subtle and complex flavors.

Make the drive from KC to Omaha pretty often and not a lot of non fast food places outside of St Joseph's. We found this place in a search outside Mound City. It's in the sane parking lot as the golf course. The outdoor seating is awesome/very nice. The inside is also very nice l. The pictures I posted from the men's restroom are pretty hilarious. I ordered a sausage/cheese omelet with a 1/2 side of biscuits and gravy. Sausage in both was very good,, gravy actually had flavor as most don't. Service was efficient and friendly and when I got the check, u was shocked how cheap it was. This place will definitely be a regular stop for us when traveling I-29.

What a fun little spot! We decided to stop on our way to Kansas City and we are so glad we did! Both of our wraps were delicious and the honey mustard Brussel sprouts were everything I never knew I needed! Quick and good service with great prices. We will definitely stop again on our next trip to KC!

Yesterday had a great half meal of beef, mashed potatoes on homemade bread. Graveyard topped it off. Took a warm cinnamon roll home and had it this morning. It was delicious.

A great lunch. We made reservations for a party of 9, table was ready when we arrived. Bar area accommodations were not fancy, but they have a great patio outside that was beautiful.The service was a bit slow --seemed understaffed-- had to wait for drink refills and food took a while to be delivered. But it was worth the wait! I ordered the summer salad with grilled chicken- good portion and fresh flavor. Chicken was tender. Reuben sandwich had great fresh bread and good flavor with a surprising hint of curry. Onion rings were thick. Chicken bacon ranch wrap was delicious as well.Everyone in our party had different sandwiches and burgers and remarked that everything was great.

Menu updated often and food reasonably priced. Good food with plenty of variety! Drinks are good! Good place to bring friends or family.

We are traveling with a dog, so outside dining is a must. The back patio was spacious and comfortable with two large pergolas. The food was excellent, hot and fresh tasting the homemade ranch dressing was tangy and refreshing. It's a bit of a winding trip off the main highway, but well worth it for a relaxing meal with a nice walking area for our dog.

Had the pork chops and catfish. All was very good and service was excellent! They even got us in on one of their busiest nights of the week. Very nice atmosphere.

The place is nice inside and the back has a nice outdoor set up. We have been here twice. Food was ok, but the service of the wait staff needs a lot of work.Seems like if there is a decent amount of people there, your server will ignore your need for a refill of your drinks. This has happened both times. Yesterday for breakfast, the waitress that wasn't ours walked pass our table four times without asking if I needed a refill or even came close to making eye contact. You would have thought she would have told our waitress that we needed drinks at our table.
