The food was hot and flavorful. I didn't get the huge bursts of flavor other reviewers did but by no means was I disappointed. Similar to other reviewers, it did take about half an hour for food to come out which was not ideal given than I was passing through on a roadtrip and trying to make time somewhere else. I expected about a 30-45 minute stop and ended up staying over an hour. Just something to note, but luckily I read reviews and decided time wasn't a dealbreaker just an inconvenience. They have an Ethiopian ceremony set up inside and inside decor is just an overall beautiful presentation of their culture. It's not American, it's not for a date or night out; it's a great place to try a new cuisine or have your favorite heart-warming Ethiopian dish. A

There are few outstanding restaurants in the Lincoln area, this is one of them. Excellent vegetarian combo, delicious meat combo. The service is super friendly and everyone in there is happy to be there, enjoying food and company.

This was the first time I tried Ethiopian food, but not the last! I really enjoyed the lovely colors and flavors of the veggie sampler plate. The injera was light and tasty. My son tried the lamb wot and loved it. The lady who took our order apparently also is involved in the cooking process. She was very attentive. The restaurant has a display of the items used in a coffee ceremony, something Ethiopians do three times a day. I can highly recommend this restaurant, a real gem in Lincoln!

The food here was extremely good. I tasted a lot of new flavors that I hadn't really tasted in other foods before. The injera is slightly sour and the best vehicle to transport the food. I ate in with my friends and we were the only ones eating in so it was very quiet. The server was attentive and we got our food within maybe 25 minutes. I would definitely recommend trying anything here because it looks amazing.

I have been wanting to try Tiru for quite awhile, and now I'm kicking myself for waiting so longI called at 12:00 to place a to-go order, and they told me it would be 20 minutes - which was perfect because that's just about how long it took me to drive there. The food was ready when I arrived. It was hot, and packaged nicely so it didn't leak. The restaurant was nicely decorated, clean, and inviting. The server was busy but greeted me right away and was very friendly. I ordered the beef wot which comes with injera. The portion was large, the beef was tender, the injera was soft, and it had plenty of flavor.I would absolutely order from Tiru again. I can't wait to try some of their other dishes.

Love love love this restaurant. By far the best Ethiopian food I have ever had and our favorite go to dining out meal. I typically order the vegan platter (although I'm not vegan). It's a beautiful combination of flavors, textures and enough variety that you never get tired of eating it. Of course it is always plated beautifully as well. For those that enjoy meat, the meat platter is equally delicious and the chicken in the platter melts in your mouth and is to die for The service is great and the owners are so so sweet.I've probably eaten from here 7 times and whether I order takeout or dine in, the food is consistent and never disappoints. I can not recommend this restaurant enough. If you enjoy Ethiopian food or have never tried it, do yourself a favor and get here ASAP!

Such a local cute mom and pop place to eat. I had heard MANY great things about this place! Finally had the opportunity to try it and it did not disappoint. We got the meat platter and vegetarian, enough food to feed 4 people. It was just two of us and we barely finished half! The Injera bread was so delicious and filling! The prices was about 13-20$

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. If you have never had Ethiopian food, this would be the perfect place to try it!The flavors are amazing! My mouth was literally over joyed at all the different flavors! There's just nothing like it! And what makes this place so great is that the owner cooks the food and it has her beautiful love for her country and what she does in it and you can taste it. .My experience here was so good. Every time I come to Lincoln I go here. . Take your family, take anybody, you know who's adventurous and willing to try something different. Carnivore to vegetarian you will find some thing at this place and your taste buds will never be the same. .
