Best pizza in Kearney! The pretzels & nachos are also super yummy! Great drink selection & friendly staff!

The place has a great location and great facility. Server was alright... she seemed very preoccupied. The food was ok.. nothing to bring us back anytime soon.

So we are making the way down the pizza list, trying each as we return in several days. This is one of several stops we often choose as we close up the Trek miles, nearly every day. All the pizzas here are excellent. We normally have one of the house made beer options and their root beer. It's the best, and very similar to what our family made in times past. We like everything here.

Great service! Beers were authentic brewed to style. A large variety available. The Scottish ale was delicious, as well as the Belgium ale. Cans available for purchase, grab some for home. A must stop if you appreciate quality beer and are in the Kearney area.

When I haven't been to Kearney in a while, Thunderhead is one of the things I miss the most. It's a comfortable, airy spot to have a great beer, and no one can touch the perfection of a Thunderpie. Lately it's always been to-go orders for me, bringing food back home to Lincoln, and I'm never served with anything less than politeness and promptness.

There was nowhere for us to be seated, so we were asked to go sit upstairs. Because of this we were unable to check out the lively main level. The atmosphere was extremely quiet upstairs and while there were about two other larger groups gathered, it just wasn't lively like downstairs even with televisions on. Our initial server was really friendly and brought us menus, water, and each of us a taster as we were undecided on what to order brew wise. We ordered an appetizer of artichoke dip as well as a pizza to share. First, the appetizer arrived by a different server and my boyfriend noticed that they had been sitting in the booth behind us playing on their phone. This server also seemed annoyed when we asked for more napkins as they only brought two whenever they brought out the appetizer. The pizza arrived and it was good. A huge turnoff for us was not only this server sitting on their phone but mainly because the largest of the two groups that had been there when we arrived left about ten minutes after we were seated and it needed to be cleaned up and was still sitting their unclean when we left almost 45 minutes later. This same server got an annoyed when my boyfriend asked him for the check so we could pay to leave.

We stopped for the night in Kearney, and figured it would be fun to check out a brewery while we were there. This was a good stop, but the beer certainly left a lot to be desired. The seltzer was overly sweet and truly just tasted like syrup that you'd find in a snow cone or something like that. I wouldn't get the seltzer again. The food was surprising, much better than I expected (although it wasn't anything that'll totally blow your socks off), but it was better than the beer. The space is huge - you shouldn't have to worry too much about securing a spot to sit, since there's an upstairs and a downstairs. The highlight of this place for me...how cheap it all was! Three of us had a full meal and two beers each, including a generous tip, it was $60. Not bad!

We had the best time here! Very welcoming staff, really good beer, cozy atmosphere. Ordered "the usual" pizza and it hit the spot.
