I first started going to Thrive in 2017 after the birth of my daughter. I had injured my sciatic nerve during labor and could not stand up straight or walk without a limp. Dr. Brittney was so thorough in her assessment, and had me standing up straight within a few visits, and had my pain down to a 1 a lot quicker than I expected. Me and my whole family (husband and 2 year old daughter) have been on a Wellness Plan since then. Dr. Brittney and Dr. Molly have become like family, the office space truly feels like home, and I love referring my friends to their office!

When I first contacted Thrive Chiropractic I asked the receptionist if they accepted my insurance. I told the receptionist what company I was with and was ready to give the receptionist my insurance ID number so she could check, as I am well aware that this company (and I trust many/most companies) have many different plans. I wanted to be sure that they accepted my insurance before committing to an appointment. The receptionist would not accept my insurance ID number at that time, but assured me they took all plans by the company I am with. I thought this was a bit odd not to check .... as my current physician., ophthalmologist, and dentist did before I scheduled my first appointment with them ... but I thought, she's knows what she is doing. As I arrived for my first visit the receptionist took my insurance card and recorded the pertinent information. As I finished my first appointment I asked what I owed as a co pay? She stated that she hadn't even checked my insurance yet. This surprised me and concerned me. She stated she would have it all taken care of by my second visit. Upon my second visit I was presented with "Your insurance does not cover this" statement and given a treatment plan with differing billing amounts depending on how I chose to pay. I was surely taken aback by this and questioned her. I again mentioned that I tried to confirm that they accepted my insurance before my first visit. She complained that she was on the phone with the insurance company for a half hour. Really, isn't that part of her job?! Don't complain about something you get paid to do, and should have done before I came to my first visit. Now you want me to pay $1,200. plus dollars out of pocket?! If I new that they did not accept my insurance I would have gone elsewhere. After a short discussion with the receptionist, that was obviously going no where, I chose to pay for the initial intake consult and leave. The receptionist had the nerve to ask if I wanted an adjustment today, at an additional cost, of course, as I was complaining about their very poor office practice. So, I ended up paying $200. for an intake I will not use. To add insult to this, as I got home and looked in the folder that I was given with info about my intake session, I noticed a card that states VIP PASS for new patients (like me) that offers the full intake that I just payed $200. for , offered for just $75. Seriously!! I feel I was completely ripped off. I was lead to believe something that they could have easily confirmed, and then charged an inflated amount. Very poor office practice .... very deceptive. I am not one to write ill reviews, but I really feel I must share my experience and let others.Let's be clear here. My issue is not that you do not take my insurance. My issue is that you assured me that you did before my first visit. When I moved to this state I needed to find a new primary physician, eye doctor and dentist. I called around and searched out doctors who accepted my specific plan Everyone I called took my Id number and checked BEFORE I came in. Some places I called stated that they accepted some plans but not mine, others told me they accepted the plan I have. Of course, I went with those who did accept my specific plan. AS you assured me that you did accept my specific plan I made an appointment. As this became an issue you did nothing other than give me a fake "nice" routine devoid of any real concern or problem solving ability. As I showed you the coupon I had that gave the same services for $75. other than the $200. you charged me you would not even consider allowing me this discount and possibly saving this relationship, as well as your good will. This whole experience has proven so clearly that the bottom line with you is money!

Dr. Brittney is amazing at explaining exactly what shes doing, why shes doing it, and the benefits of what shes doing. The office as a whole is so welcoming and im always greeted with a smile. I also LOVE the nursing room for mom and baby!! I started going to her at 35 weeks pregnant after being referred to her by my OBGYN. I was having such severe back pain and sciatic nerve pinching I couldnt get out of bed on my own without crying and occasionally it would be so bad I couldnt get out of bed for a couple days. Every single night was horrible and I dreaded it. I had to wake up my fiancee to help me up to be able to go to the bathroom multiple times a night and we were both miserable from it. After 3 visits with Dr. Brittney I could get out of bed at night by myself and with no more tears!! My last few weeks of pregnancy have been absolute bliss compared to the months that i put up with back pain that I thought was just a part of pregnancy and I just had to deal with it. I cant wait to continue with my adjustments during the rest of my pregnancy and after I give birth and I will definitely be bringing in my kids and newborn to see her as well! Highly recommend!
