Amazing local contemporary art center focused on Black artists and the North Omaha community. Very unique and beautiful building with a fabulous large gallery and studios for resident artists. There are facilities there for screen printing, ceramics, and fiber arts that are available for use by members for a monthly fee. The Center has a variety of classes and family programs, and is involved in community events. There are EV chargers in the parking lot. A new theater has been built. I haven't had a chance to see a performance yet in the new space. The previous space was lovely but not at all roomy. I'm sure the new one is nice and I'll have to remember to see something there soon!

I freaking love the UNION! My first time at the UNION was last year. I wanted to find a place where I could know more about the Omaha community and also work on my art.The people here are so amazing and welcoming. They are willing to help and teach you new art skills. They have a great program called the CO-OP where you can sign up for a year or monthly membership and participate in workshops offered by in house artists and use the facilities. They have an area for ceramics, photo lab, screen printing lab, an area for wood cutting, and also a beautiful garden that is in bloom. Something I love about the UNION is that they focus on community outreach and work with kids and youth in North Omaha in providing them art workshops on the weekends. I love seeing the different projects they create during art club.I am so happy I found a place like this in town!

I was able to see the amazing eye-opening show "Blood at the Root" that was in conjunction with UNO Theatre. The art that was created from this show was soul touching and I can't wait to see what they create next. The Union consistently serves our community and raises the bar each and every day for what we can do to help support Omaha.

What an incredible creative outlet for artists and artist wannabes alike. The union for contemporary arts opened its doors to the North Omaha community in junction with Bemis and Kaneko art galleries. It similarly supports artists in residence to continue their creative adventures while giving back to the Omaha community in terms of community service. It also Has been offering locals to utilize their artist studios, dark room, printmaking studio and clay works for a $40/6 month price tag. Pretty enticing if you ask me. It also includes workshops with local artists that can teach you some of their know how. All in all I am very impressed and inspired by what this community has offered to share and am excited to see it grow!
