Free lot right behind the hotel (closer walk than the paid parking). Free to park here Saturday & Sunday, and weekdays after 6pm.
Beautiful bar area
The sitting area next to the cafe had great Nebraska football memorabilia
Open air lot they want to charge $20 a day to park in, with so much ample parking room why charge paying guests $20 a day?
View from street
The Good Life Cafe was wonderful. Great cold brew and we enjoyed hearty croissant sandwiches.
Exterior
Such a classy lobby
The lobby was quite impressive! Beautiful decor, lots of seating areas, plenty of Nebraska sports history.
Rooftop martini
Goodie bags for the furry guests. Very pet friendly!

This hotel has mixed reviews from us. Check in took a while as the key card system wasn't working so we had to wait.TIP - if you are a Platinum or above Bonvoy member take the free breakfast. They don't have continental breakfast so we were able to pick an entree and beverage for free (gratuity included). Our room:Very little lightSoft bedCleanMini fridgeSmall closet but nice dresser storageBathroom:Shower slippery, one tiny grab bar on shelf away from shower headParking is extra. The restaurant is overpriced but has very good food.

The good part was the shuttle drive was fantastic...they always opened the door for me when I arrived ...the room was nice ..they cleaned it everyday and housekeeping made bad and put out new towels...great location right across the street from a coffee shop and our conference center...the the not so good part...when I got home my husband noticed they had charged twice..also for imaginary incidentals ...that had previously been charged to another account..I had to call twice..being told they made a mistake and they would refund it...to have those charges on my card for several days was unacceptable..had it not been brought to my attention too when I returned home..as of today it has been resolved ..but very cautious of it happening in the future ..the STAR for me was the roof top Owl bar ...it was great service and delicious cucumber gimlets ...we watched the sunset and enjoyed our evening...The Scarlett lobby was also a great place to sit and relax and have a glass of wine ...

Loved this relatively new hotel on Nebraska's Innovation Campus. Decorated with Nebraska mementos and pictures, the hotel's name is an obvious nod to the University of Nebraska. Spacious lobby features long tables with electric outlets - great for working on a laptop while enjoying a beverage from the coffee shop. On the rooftop, the Barred Owl features cocktails, local craft beer, small bites and views of downtown Lincoln. Downstairs, we enjoyed several good meals at the Well & Good restaurant, despite service that was a bit on the pokey side. There's also a full bar directly across from the restaurant. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Downtown is a 2 mile walk via the biking/hiking trail, but a better option is to rent a bike at the unmanned kiosk 2 blocks south.. Would definitely stay here again!

Honestly, I was shocked that this property belonged in the Tribute portfolio. The paid parking of $20 was an open lot a 5 min walk to the entrance to the hotel. The Valet parking was $22 and all they did was park the cars in the lot behind the hotel that anyone could park in for free through the week after 6pm, and for free Saturday and Sunday. It was a total scam. You can also tell that while the property is new, it was cheaply furnished and had terrible mattresses for the room. It cost my wife $12.50 for a small mixed coffee drink and a cookie at the coffee shop. A true disappointment, although in Nebraska perhaps that's the best available. I will make a point of never stopping in Lincoln again on my future trips.

What a great place to stay to enjoy Lincoln and escape the traffic and crowds associated with the typical "downtown" hotel. The Scarlet is part of Marriott's Tribute Collection and it's a magnificent property. As a Tribute Hotel the design and decor is unique to the location and differs from the standard Marriott layout and design. The Scarlet developers, The Goldenrod Companies of Omaha led by Managing Principal, Zach Wiegert together with Archrival, a Lincoln creative design firm took full advantage of this design freedom and created a very tasteful and meaningful "tribute" to the State of Nebraska and it's people and communities. Rooms are themed after Nebraska towns and cities and famous Nebraskans. Added to that are a coffee shop with special blends from The Mill and ice cream from the UNL Dairy Store. The onsite restaurant and lounge is beautiful and the food is excellent. The Barred Owl rooftop lounge offers great views of the capitol city. All of this and a well trained, "Marriott skilled" staff awaits you. Give The Scarlet a try!

Everything about this hotel is quite impressive. Shiny, new and fabulous is how I would describe both the interior and exterior of the building. The lobby is so nice, comfortable and welcoming. The hotel restaurant is also located on the first floor. Then you hop in the elevator to get to the ultra fancy rooftop bar called the Barred Owl. The views and cocktails were worth every penny! Can't wait to go back again soon. :D

Was working at UNL Athletics Facilities for the weekend and stayed at The Scarlet Hotel. I have stayed here several times and I can never get enough of it. Good environment, good staff, clean rooms, etc. I love all the old Husker posters, books, etc and how everything is either red of geared towards the Huskers. As someone who loves the Huskers and this type of environment/feel, this is the perfect place. GBR!

I'd give another 1/2 star. I love the location next to the Devaney Center. I love that everything is new. Staff is very friendly. Love the name, the red decor. We used points so we got a room w a view of the roof on the 2nd floor, sad. I know there are lots of rooms on the city side w great views towards the stadium. The shower is no more than a trickle so I'm not sure what that's about. Self park is $20/valet $22. 6th floor (top) has a bar w an outdoor patio. But word is out and heavy drinking and party noise spoils the sunset vibe for me. This place is going to be crazy on game days.

Inhospitable staff who did not have room we booked at check-in. The best part was no a/c once we got to said room in the middle of June. Cannot believe this place is associated w/Marriott hotels--Not a ton of options in Lincoln, but if you're expecting a true "Tribute" hotel, save your money bc this place is about the equivalent of a Red Roof Inn.

Asked for an earlier check in and got laughed at by the old fart at the front desk, I don't know what kind of power trip he is on but he works at a hotel front desk and needs to look in the damn mirror.
