What a great facility in south Omaha. The conference I attended here was your standard general session followed by breakout sessions. The Kroc Center itself is a bit hidden, but well placed signs along Q Street make it a breeze to find. The main meeting room is spacious and has good acoustics. A large presentation screen is placed just behind where presenters speak but high enough for all to see (I hate when I can't see the screen!). Also, a smaller screen just below the balcony is visible to the speaker so he/she does not have to constantly look at the main screen. The lobby area is roomy with plenty of space for in between breaks from the meeting.Parking is ample here and not that far of a walk to the main entrance. A bonus when the Nebraska weather is not so nice.Needless to say, I was impressed and I'm sure others who have had conferences here would agree.

The Kroc Center is a great option if you're looking for something to do on these cold winter days. They have both a lap pool, kiddie pool with water fountains, and a water slide for both little kids as well as older kids. It even has a small lazy river. In addition to the pool, you will find a treehouse area in which the kids can climb and slide back down to the bottom. I haven't utilized the gym or other areas but they look like they're in good shape. It's not cheap for a day pass but there's a lot to keep you busy.

A while back I took my son here on a day pass to swim for the first time at the facility . It hey took our picture as first time visitors , pointed the way to the pool and off we went . This building is much bigger and cleaner then I imagined , the work our room looked inviting and my son was interested in going in , but we decided to try the pool . They do have a fairly large dressing room which was good . Walking into the pool area there was a lapPool that seemed to be off limits to the kids unless they were doing swim lessons . The pool was big with a few small slides and they did have guards on deck making sure the "big kids" were not over running the smaller ones . The room definitely had a strong chlorine smell and with all the people in there it felt overwhelming warm . Although the kids were having fun , there was so much chaos if parents trying to find a place to sit , you almost got a he sense that they're may have been plenty of arguments on busy days with parents and the seating arrangement . Leaving the pool we explored a little bit but there was really nothing else my son was interested in ( besides the gym ) . I don't think I would ever pay for a membership because there is no way I would visit enough for it to pay for itself .once or twice a year will be enough for me .

Beautiful facility: three story kids' treehouse, workout facility, water park (small but fun), art & music classes, church/bible study on Sunday's...and more. It's come a long way with the recent remodel. Although I may be a bit biased. (Disclaimer: I know the managers). :)

We went here on Veterans Day weekend after seeing online that military could get in free. Unfortunately the man at the desk seem to have no idea what we were talking about, so instead we got the membership spiel, but at least they gave us the grand tour which was actually pretty impressive. The pool area was really nice, with a lap pool, a lazy river, and a shallow side with waterslides for the kids. I loved that they have two rooms for kids where they provide childcare so parents can work out. We took our boys in one of the rooms for a few minutes. They had a blast playing with all the toys but honestly everything seemed very dirty. I'm pretty relaxed as far as everyday germs are concerned, but there was visible dirt on almost every toy that I looked at. The workout area was kind of small but they are building a huge addition with an indoor track and lots more room for the exercise equipment, which will all be upgraded when the construction is complete. There are also lots of classrooms where they offer fitness, art, music, and various other classes. They also have events and conventions in the auditorium, as well as a weekly church service.Overall, this is a hidden gem that I'm surprised I haven't heard more about. If we had more free time and $60 a month to blow I would consider getting a membership! They do have a military discount, which is nice, as well as a discount for automated payments.

I LOVE the Kroc Center. I have been a member for 3(ish) years and it is such a great place. They have ample workout equipment, two pools - one for laps and one for fun, excellent fitness classes, fun family activities and special events, and the staff is always so helpful and well-informed. I originally joined the Kroc Center just for the gym aspect, and while I don't always partake in all the extras, they are wonderful for the community. I would rather give my monthly membership fee to this organization instead of another fitness facility. I think it does more good here.
