The Salty Dog Bar & Grill

This was the first time I have been to The Salty Dog, when you walk in it is a seat yourself, the decor was minimal but the huge wall of windows made up for it, loved sitting there watching the snow come down. We met up with some friends and it was a great place to meet up the tables were spaced well so you could have conversations and not hear the other tables! Our waitress Kiana was amazing she was very personable and was able to joke and laugh with us! Really made the time even more enjoyable! The food was delicious! I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap Crispy with the hand cut fries! The chicken was delicious and cut to the right size so you don't worry about getting high chunks of chicken and nothing else. The fries had a good seasoning, I like seasoned fries so I could have used more seasoning, but that's minor. The ranch tasted like a homemade ranch it was runny but not too runny, if that makes sense. My wife had the PB and B burger with tater tots. That burger was juicy and cooked perfect. The bacon that was put on top the peanut butter was like bacon bites but not and it was cooked crispy just the way my wife likes it. You can add a side of jelly for an up charge of .50 but it's Smuckers single serve packs which I don't think should be a charge, normally they are just on the table. The tater tots were crispy and good, would order them next time. Would definitely come back with the kids, they have a kids menu I don't remember the price or what was on it.

Opening a new location in this kind of area right near hotels is going to be a tough job. The interior is vastly open height wise compared to the other location. Most of the walls are glass so i could see it being kinda unpleasant during those random sunny days here. We only ordered an apetizer (besides drinks) that i have had before at the other location and while i think the flavor was better than being bland they REALLY dialed back on the quantity. It also looked like a slice(s) of cheese was used instead of shredded? I mean it might be the same quality but it does not look good on the plating and makes you feel a bit weird about it. They seem to have some of the staff from the other location come here which is nice to see familar faces. The other staff will have to ramp up on multi-tasking in order to not have people trying to get a bartenders attention to ya know spend yer money! Also there is a decent sized "party" overflow room with its own TV's and such. I could see this place being a nice central location to have little get togethers as long as they get the "beer is out situation" solved too. Being out of beer means you could have just lost money as some people are very picky and wont drink anything else. Either way I shall be back to test the waters again!

Tried for the first time and the Buffaque char buffed wings were so good! It's right off the interstate and service was quicker than expected. Definitely at the top of my wings lists now in Omaha.

not impressed, i ordered the philly cheesesteak, well i have no idea what the hell that was on my plate.. the meat was gray no seasoning at all (bland)!!!!!!, the chicken strips and burger was about the same.. we will not return..!!!!

The worst wings I have ever had in my life. This is the 72nd St. location in Omaha. They came out like cement. The manager had no concern whatsoever. Yet the waitress asked her to give me a discount. The totally incompetent and insensitive manager gave me a two dollar discount. If she worked for my organization, she would be fired Immediately for such insensitivity. I do not recommend this place. It is terrible and quality of product and service.

Came in for lunch and had a fabulous blue cheeseburger, great portion size. It's not the biggest beer list but enough that we were satisfied with a couple of basic craft beer selections. It was nice spot to grab a quick lunch on a midweek day. Service was prompt and attentive. It wasn't busy, but server - who seemed to be more manager or owner, not sure which - was busy with other tadk, yet friendly and conversational. Made us feel our experience was important to her. Classic small bar and Grill type feel still clean and comfortable.

The wings are fantastic! Our server was not, it wasn't busy when we arrived but we saw our server twice, we wanted to order more wings but ran out of time waiting.
